WiFi calling on Vodafone contracts from 3rd parties?
Hi - I'm hoping someone on here will be able to answer a question that neither Vodafone nor any of its resellers have been able to answer!
I'm looking at a SIM-only Red plan from e2save (part of Carphone Warehouse), since they're doing some great cashback deals. This will be put in an unlocked iPhone 6S bought directly from Apple. I have been advised by the Vodafone Sales live chat team that WiFi calling is only available on contracts bought directly from Vodafone. Yet I've also been advised by the Vodafone technical support call centre that WiFi *is* available on contracts from resellers... So I don't know who to believe - the Vodafone website is ambiguous too. Ideally I'd like to know before signing a contract. Can anyone help? Does anyone get Vodafone WiFi calling on a SIM only contract from a 3rd party reseller? Thanks! |

However, ensure "A Pay monthly Red or Red Value Bundle, Red+ or Business Premier" also includes Sim Only contracts. |

On EE it doesn't matter where the iPhone is bought due to Carrier Updates. So should be same with Vodafone
However, ensure "A Pay monthly Red or Red Value Bundle, Red+ or Business Premier" also includes Sim Only contracts. Part of me thinks Vodafone are saying WFC is only available through them as they want the sale themselves.. |

Yes it's definitely available, just not enabled on the account by default.
Need to text CALLING to 97888 or contact customer services to get it on your account. As you probably know it's only for voice calls. SMS doesn't work over wifi calling unlike with EE. Also, once you add wifi calling to your account it messes up your call diverts, meaning you can't set, change or cancel any diverts (both ones to voicemail or another phone). I hope they fix this ASAP. Those cashback deals are great - I used mobiles.co.uk last year and received all my cheques after submitting PDF bills online.
