Oh, well done. I think you're right . I saw her in BTF. Vaguely recall her being connected to one of the other dancers' tours, too. Brendan's or Anton's praps.

Still good snooping work, though!

I must investigate BTF dates. Wouldn't mind seeing it again.

More like Visa issues for both Oti and Oskana, there is no such thing as I am working in another project and when I am done I will join the rest of the pros.

Oti is a German citizen isn't she? So surely as a European Visa's aren't an issue?

Isnt Oti a German citizen....why would she be having visa issues . Even if she is not ,I dont think that's the issue. She already explained the reason for her absence

I don't remember reading whether she has German citizenship or not. I know she's represented Germany dancing, but not sure what can be inferred from that

Oksana's husband posted an Instagram three days ago saying she was leaving 'today' and Strictly bound, but we haven't seen her yet, so I guess it's quite likely the paperwork has held things up for her.

backstagone is never wrong.

Oksanna is Russian I think, and they have a notoriously difficult time getting Visas to work in the UK. This is why Artem left and I know that Gleb had Visa trouble as well.

This is very true. There have been dancing couples in the UK that have either had to put their dancing on hold, or had to separate as once the Russian lady has left to visit her family for example, I have known a few that have not been able to get back into the UK, due to visa problems.

remember Paul Taylor's son having that problem and his partner had represented England in dance comps too

re Oti - didn't she marry Marius lepure last year ?? if so would she not qualify as European seeing Marius in romanian , if not then she would need a visa being South African - remember years ago Nicole Cutler had problems re visas from South Africa before she married Matt

This is most likely the main reason why a lot of these pros on strictly and in the pro world gets married; solves a lot of issues.

Exactly, this is very commonplace.

It was heartbreaking what K&P went through at that time, to keep their hopes of dancing together alive. Happily, they have since both forged very successful partnerships and continue to make their mark in the competitive world.

It probably isn't the case here, but I wonder how Brexit may have an impact on foreign dancers here in the future. ? There are so many wonderful dancers from overseas, that are based in the UK dancing with a British partner, I really hope that they can continue to carry on as usual without problems.

I didn't think they were married, but could be wrong. Also, I don't think marrying an EU citizen does automatically confer citizenship - and even if residency rights are a given, not sure a work permit automatically is. There was some issue about non-EU family members requiring visas to the UK that went to the European Court last year, though I'm not sure about the outcome (so again, I'm probably wrong ).
