Not sure if I like him either though, I know he said he wasn't there to wag the finger at people but if housemates are being arseholes have a backbone and say...i think he is trying to keep in with the younger ones and won't question their behaviour as he wants to appear to be 'down with the kids'

Based on what I have seen of him in the house, he seems awkward, aware of the camera's (he said something about having to be careful of what he said) and self conscious. The age thing between Marnie and Grant didn't bother me but I had a feeling that she was just flirting and he just wanted sex. No problem but it just didn't work out for him. He seems to be having a hard time fitting in--doesn't quite fit in with the younger or older group (or smoker/non-smoker groups).

I'm all for love and age gaps happen the older one gets but with Grant it comes across as a bit Leary. He's embarrassing himself on national tv really, marine is flirting and stringing him along not only for a storyline but for an additional alliance. The girls using what she does best to survive, but I find it mocking in a way. They're both as bad as each other, but Grant try in to get in with the young ones will be his downfall as they'll cut him off and he'll have burnt his bridges with the older folk....he's being a fool. Typical middle life crisis, wanting to chase a bit of fluff to prove he's still got it. He'll lose in the end, and marnie will play the victim eventually acting out that his attention is unwanted, just wait.

Marnie did give him a big hug when it was announced that he was facing eviction, and he kissed he lovingly on the side of her head. I felt for him though, when the wide shot showed him slipping quietly away as Marnie was snogging Lewis.

I think we can all see he was onto a non starter with her, she was just teasing him, but it did work for him with the very young girlfriend he just binned prior to entering the house, so i suppose he thought his charms might work with Marnie.

I really have no idea why he is in there in the first place. Dumps 1st wife for Anthea, some bad business dealings, dumps Anthea for younger woman. And he's on to change public perception of him? WHY? No-one cares. He's pretty revolting too. All that said, I am not sure he is pervy exactly. Many older men/women take up with much younger men/women. I wouldn't say he's pervy as such but I do find him a bit sad and pathetic. His kicked puppy demeanour reminds me of Michael Barrymore's the time he appeared on the show. Saying 'she's far too young for me' to Aubrey and Katie desperately hoping they'd say 'no Grant, you'd be perfect together'.
