Because BB wanted to protect certain HMs. That's the simple answer

It's fine if they have the same rules ever week. The problem BB has is the rules change every week. This is what annoys me.

What?! This isn't Big Brother 1!!!

Terrible mistake. Predictable evictions are so dull and they make for a dull series.

PRotecting the loathesome skank Bear no doubt.

Bear wouldn't have gone tbh he would have got more votes to stay over Grant let's be honest !

Not really, because people who dislike him will just vote to save Grant now. If three or more were up, I can't think of a reason why anyone would vote to save Grant otherwise.

This being said, I think James will still be safe.

Yes, they aren't very subtle are they. Hopefully the eviction mob will let them know what the viewers think. If James gets a big cheer it should knock some of the arrogance out of team trash.

I'm not sure - in a 2 person eviction it doesn't matter if it's to save or evict.

All the Bear/Marnie/Lewis supporters may vote to save Grant because they know that James has had run ins with those supporters' favourite.

I don't want James to go by the way. Although it might be best for him if they're going to keep winding him up.

Hmmmm yes it is a bit odd! Almost like they don't want any of the others to go.

It's usually manipulated so there's at least 4.

So if the HM with the highest amount of noms gets 9, the second highest gets 7, the 3rd gets 4, and the 4th gets 3, and the rest get 1 each (for example!) the top 4 will be up! Even though the fourth one from top only got 3 noms.

This was verrrrry strange. Obviously desperate to get rid of Grant or James.

Because if it wasn't, then the 'plebs on the beach' mob would have been threatened. And seeing as big Brother is catering to that audience nowadays that would have been a big no-no.

On one hand it does seem a bit suspicious as if it is to protect Bear but then again it could equally be to ensure James remains over Grant to maintain the Bear vs Bald Eagle storyline.

FFS, these producers make it up as they go along. Ridiculous. Can't they just stick to one rule? If they hadn't changed it in the first place I'd have no problem with this head to head.

This is the fundamental mistake people are making. Yes, we all know that Bear is a total imbecile and needs to go. BUT there are more people out there that love him, and they are the type that votes. We don't vote because we have more sense. But a moron will win this show, as they always do, because only morons vote and there are lots and lots of them watching. As much as the more sane amongst us hate this type of idiot, sadly he is representative of millions of likeminded idiots throughout this land and will most likely win and go on to further greatness.

And if they stuck to it that would be fine

They won't though ... the minute the 'two' with the most nominations happen to be two housemates they want to keep in, you can bet your bottom dollar they'll widen the field

Bear supporters can save their money now for other evictions or even try and vote out James. He should have been up.
