I think Tracy has improved as well, I couldn't stand her when she first appeared but I've warmed to her now. I love Vanessa and think she needs a better storyline than the awful pairing with dreary Kirin (I'd already forgotten about him
) and I think her and Tracy being half-sisters could be interesting. However the chances of two long-lost siblings turning up in the same tiny Yorkshire village, sharing a cottage with one coincidentally wanting the other out are very slim

Tracy has definitely improved since she first appeared.

I'd have preferred Tracy to be half-sisters with late 90s character Lyn Hutchinson. The actresses Amy & Sally Walsh are real-life sisters. Their other sister Kimberley became famous as part of Girls Aloud.

I remember saying in a thread about 6 months ago when Tracey and Vanessa both mentioned their Dads being jailbirds, that they might be half sisters and that Bobs cell mate would turn out to be their Dad!
Wish I'd placed a bloody bet now! |

I wish they would bring an actress in to play Vanessa's half-sister. Have we ever seen Vanessa's mother? It would be interesting writing to bring her in to the village.

Not that keen on either Tracy or Vanessa so won't be looking forward to seeing more of them on screen.
ED have decided to ignore ages haven't they. Vanessa was 40 last year. Michael Praed is 56 now . So an extremely young father. I'm looking forward to him joining the cast and I'm sure he will be a love interest for 1 or more of the women who are not a daughter. |

Although the chances of it happening are very slim, I think It's good as It will give them something interesting to do (the characters) and Vanessa in particular hasn't had much to do since the baby stuff.

This storyline should be good and if the actor who plays Frank is 56 and Vanessa is 40 then Frank whould have been 16 when Vanessa was born not that young when you think about it.Emmerdale have never been that good with Characters ages look at Emma and Pete and Amy and Kerry.

I always forget that Vanessa is 40, I was quite surprised when we saw her turn it on screen because I'd always assumed she was supposed to be early thirties.

Even though I admittedly don't pay very close attention when ED's on, but some of my friends do, and not a single one of them, or anyone on here has yet been able to explain what the Nessa/Tracy/Frank thing is about. Does anyone know please?
![]() Obviously Nessa and Tracy don't know they're half sisters yet. Does Frank know he's got 2 daughters? Why did he apparently phone the wrong one last week? How did the prison know the contact details of both Nessa and Tracy to tell them he was in hospital? Why did Frank apparently give both girls the same nickname, (Teeny?). ![]() ![]() So many questions, no answers.

Vanessa is 41, Tracy is 27....why would their dad steal a toy car to give to Vanessa? I know she said that she was too old but there is a 14 year age gap!

Vanessa tried to rationalise it by saying she was far too old for it but it was a poor effort! Maybe they were trying to show how out of touch Frank always was with both of his daughters and he seems to have a fixation on Vanessa still being his little girl, calling a 40 year old woman 'Teeny'. Maybe he's stuck in a time warp as far as Vanessa is concerned? Sorry Sez that's the best I can do!

I thought it was a lovely gesture of Vanessa's to get Tracey the car, pity they couldn't actually find one so all we saw was the wrapped box!!!
