Yes of course they should. And they should also be prepared for others telling them exactly what they think of that opinion and of those who hold it.

You can have any opinion you want and say anything you want (within the confines of the law) but then so can anyone else. Nobody should tell anyone they can't hold an opinion. They should tell them they shouldn't and explain why. If they can.

As a gay man i believe that is the case for a lot of people, Bi now, Gay later.

Its an easier way for a lot of gay men to come out.

Thats not to say bisexual doesn't exist.

The point he made was that its the gay men, hiding behind a Bi label that are making it harder for actual gay men to fully accept themselves.

I also agree with him on that point.

People are far too overly sensitive these days”

Did he SAY that part outside of the clip they actually aired? Because on air what I heard was him being a lot simpler and basically saying that he couldn't abide bisexuality. He did not try and qualify that statement--at least in the part I saw. I admit I might not have seen where he did--but I would like you to state that is the case if so.

If you are qualifying his statement FOR him, that's not the same thing as him actually meaning that.

Biggins reminds me of the 'eldergays' on Datalounge and they are all transphobic too.

Have noticed that BB aren't warning the celebs for anything this time. Marnie wasn't warned for shaking her boobs in Saira's face and Biggins hasn't been warned for expressing biphobic views.

C5 Want their own Shilpa/Jade scandal. This baiting they been doing for a while now.

They want that national outrage/coverage that the Shilpa/Jade thing got.

Unfortunately, don't nobody care. The only thing C5 is doing is disgusting/losing viewers.

I think if you want to back up Biggins.......this isn't the bit to defend him

Digital Spy has a 99% heterosexual strike rate. They don't understand what we are talking about

Biggins is right but the heterosexuals won't see it that way

Don't understand that the LGBT community has it's own share of Biphobia and a preference for bi-erasure?

I don't really understand what Biggins was trying to say there

Is he saying that a man who wants to, and enjoys, having sex with other men is 'fundamentally gay' ... and that the fact he also has sex with women does not change the fact that he is a gay man ?

I think Biggins comes from a generation where anyone bisexual most commonly stuck to being straight - much safer.

Thus 'bi' most often meant 'gay' but halfway out of the closet, and these people, including Biggins himself, often married and made their wives miserable, and they justified it by saying they were bi.

He's got a lot of guilt, I think.

I think that this STILL happens, though less often than it did perhaps.

This is a hangover from oppression.

As for what is happening in the LGBT community now, I'm not equipped to judge, but as some gay men have said that it causes resentment when bisexuals switch from one to the other, then it must.

That's not to say bisexuals of either sex don't exist, and don't have the right to love who they want, when they want etc.

Things don't change overnight.

Exactly......a lot of posters and Biggins seem to have forgotten women are gay and bisexual too.....showed the mindset up there!

bisexuals tend to fall in love with "someone" regardless of gender and make a life with them. If , as with any sexual orientation, it works fab, if not both parties move on.

Perhaps it is old Queens that are bitter that bisexual men are more free to explore that and so there are less gay men in the mix for them??? Or would that be just as offensive as what Biggins said?..

I am guessing you either speak from your experience ???

I am just starting menopause and I have never been Hornier...... I am lucky that my sex drive is off the scale , especially as a woman, it's worse than my partners. So I am guessing I will be ok after menopause finishes.......it doesn't always follows , us women do want sex !!!!

Anyone who takes offense at Christopher Biggins presenting an opinion about bisexuality needs to get a grip.

I've done all of that before, but it doesn't really mean anything as I was being objective and too complimentary for my own good. There are times when my friendliness has been misinterpreted but it comes from wanting to see the good in others even if I was being too charitable.

I don't know why you were so determined to prove your friend was wrong or lying, she probably got upset about not being believed as I would too.

What era is that? Bisexuality has been around for centuries.

Just because some men say they are bi as a stepping stone for coming out as gay doesnt mean there arent actual bisexual men and women in this world.

Biggies was married to a woman for 4 years in the 70s before later deciding he is gay. So he was a bit of a Betty Bothways himself.

When he says (in a later interview) that bisexuals should "own up to what they are" so that they don't "ruin a woman's life" this is clearly a pretty unimaginative extrapolation of his own experience onto everyone else.

"Fluid" sexuality is all the rage with the young people nowadays.

I am sure Biggins would not take kindly to someone saying
"The worst type, I'm afraid to say, are the gays",
no matter what context it was being used in. Yet he feels it is ok for him to use that exact same phrase against another sexual minority.

Yes the guy is entitled to his opinion, but should not use phrases like that.

Imagine if someone like Bear started a conversation using the phrase in bold above. It would not matter what followed, the statement would have been generalised. And you could say he is entitled to his opinion too. That would not make it right.

So either Biggins has been warned about his negative bisexual comment and the footage of him being warned hasn't been shown, or they haven't gave him a warning. It irritates me that someone isn't given a warning (if they weren't) about speaking negatively about something and yet if it was something else, they definitely would have, and the footage of them being warned would have been shown. This stinks of double standards.

What exactly was the point renne was trying to make by the way? It kind of got overshadowed by Biggins bisexual statement. I wasn't really able to make any sense of it. Was it that homosexuality is too promoted from an early age and results in straight people experimenting because they think they have to? Or did I misunderstand it?

Why aren't they warning hms this series? Marnie wasn't warned either.
