Hi there,

Today I disconnected my 4 way Digital Optical Switcher as I was getting a new TV Unit. It was working absolutely fine with no problems, however, I reconnected all the cables back up, and when I connect the power cable, all 4 LED lights come on, the power button or input button doesn't work.

Can't seem to understand why it would work before, then in a matter of a few hours this has happened.

Does anyone have any idea at what the problem might be?

Thank you.

Have you tried unplugging the power supply from the mains, leaving it for at least 30secs or longer then plugging it back in again? Sometimes the power can glitch causing odd things to happen. A simple power off/on cycle can sometimes cure it.

If that doesn't work then you need to try and work out what is broken. A first start would be to try a substitute power supply. The new power supply must be the same spec as the current one otherwise you might cause damage to the switch.

If it works on a different power supply then you have found the problem. If a substitute power supply gets the same result out of the switch then the switch is faulty. It could easily cost more to get it fixed than to buy a new one such is the way things are these days.
