Orange deal coming to a end

Hi All,

I have a fantastic deal with Orange £5.99 a month for 1000 mins, unlimited texts and 2.5Gb data. This was achieved through loyalty discounts. Problem is my deal runs until December this year and then reverts back to full price.

Is there many people still on Orange contracts/sim only etc? I don't really have need for 4G as where my phone is used is wifi enabled. It would be nice but would be cost effective.

Has anyone on Orange currently been offered any worthwhile loyalty discounts or are you forced to move over to EE?

Thanks
Louis

If you wish to change plan or upgrade the only option is EE.

There has to come a time where people on Orange or legacy T-Mobile plans get 4G access, or get moved over?

I'm surprised EE haven't slowly moved legacy T-Mobile and Orange customers over to 4G TBH.

Once BT fully own EE (if they don't already) I'd imagine they'll speed up the process to streamline the business somewhat.

EE has been owned by BT since the end of January, so integration is well under way now!

BT Sports being available for the whole duration of your time with EE (not just the first six months) is going to be one of the big changes later this month. It does come at a price though, in that it's on one of the new Max plans.

Check out life mobile. Uswitch usually have the best deals for them.

You can get 1000 mins 5000sms and 1.5gb data for £5.95 a month.

Or 2k mind 5k SMS and 3gn data for £9.95.

They use EE network so the signal will be the same. But no 4G.

4G is coming apparently, however it won't be double speed or anything like that.

Not even as an option?

Even the mighty BT doesn't seem to want to sell double speed to itself. BT Mobile customers are capped to 30Mbps or 60 for an additional fee.

More speed tiers incoming too? Finally a launch date for 800MHz? We can but hope haha.

I think the idea is to position Life as their value brand, something it is living up to I am sure we can agree. When I spoke to them they were a bit vague about the time frame of when it would come and in what manor. I don't know if existing customers will get or whether it will be a chargeable addon, I'm sure there will be some cost to it though.
