Why are the youngsters so angry?

Evidenced in the current BB but seen in the last 5 years series.
Why are most youngsters on the show so angry with the world.
They are extremely self centred and arrogant and also have a very short fuse, particularly when they have alcohol.

"No one tells me what to do! "
" I don't care about anyone else I'm here to have fun"
"What you looking at? You trying to dis me? "
" Who's that old fart anyway? "
" I'm a celebrity as much as you are, we are equal"

Sad really, no humility.

Shit parenting?

You only have to look at how a lot of kids are raised these days. They do what they want and their doting parents don't teach them respect or consideration for others.

I would be mortified if my kids behaved the way the likes of Bear, Lewis and Marnie, with their dirty mouths and sleazy lifestyles. They don't because they were raised to be decent people.

First it's not ALL the young people - Ricky and Katie, for example, seem pretty normal.

It's the REALITY lot that are all angry and combatative - I think they are pretty much 'chosen' for these traits, and then it's been their bread and butter for years.

So, they're brought up like that, they 'succeed' like that and they haven't had any real reason to grow up.

Exactly.
Arguments and conflict = camera time = fame and fortune.

It's sad to think that to achieve fame and fortune in the past, you actually had to have at least a smidgeon of talent at something!

These days you simply have to be a bigger loud-mouthed yob, or a sleazier sleaze-bag than the rest.

Very true. Life has rewarded them for having what most see as negative traits, consequently they have learnt to exaggerate these traits for maximum reward.

Bear, Lewis, Marnie and Heavy D are certainly demonstrating playground bullying and playground everything else. BUT Saira and James have been the most invasively physically aggressive in passive ways on Saira's part and actively in response to pisstaking on James's part.
Saira's class/health and "intellectual" snobbery had her hopping about like the lead interviewer on an employment agency open day asking the young uns this and that to the point of winding them up and basically creating the "Squad". Twenty five years ago James Whale had a show were he and assorted Tory guests leared at invited lap dancers and encouraged female interns to get boobs and bums out. His hypocrisy is born of his snobbery against Marnie doing that on her own (ill advised admittedly) terms and Bear etc talking about that stuff.

It is a generational and cultural clash. Bovey, Renee and Sam are demonstrating how you handle the young folk - James and Saira are acting like contemptuous supply teachers in an inner city school and getting the results. Biggins is acting like a rich dude who had his wallet nicked by last night's rentboy.

It is a mini class war and as unpleasant as the "Squad"'s actions can be they are responding to ugly passive aggressive triggers from those they now target.

They've always been there it's just that reality TV programmes like BB shine a light on them.
Its like turning over a piece of rotting wood and then being surprised that you see bugs.

Exactly if towie and Geordie Shore were around 25-30 years ago Sam fox would have been part of a similar circle

There is fault on both sides of the divide the first time the status of the older ones in the house has been heavily challenged.

Normally the older ones get left alone for a month to sit on their arses drink tea and talk about the old days

Because they are not real celebrities that have been media trained, they are regular people and whether people want to admit it or not, a lot of regular people talk and act like them.

That's a big generalisation to make on young people in general on the back of a scripted reailty show where it pays to play up to some kind of seterotype.

They do not represent the young people i know and work with....but the proplem is when some young people over watch these shows and don't understand that its part act and try to act this way in real life, plus the fact that they are surrounded by crap adults a lot of the time....

Its not that they are just young its that they are small time z list celebs!

This is what makes them entitled people imo with enough money to usually do exactly what they want and never mind anyone else??

Maybe they will learn and grown from this experience you never know!

House prices, depleting oil reserves, lack of job security, middle eastern tensions, the growing gap between rich and poor, the futility of a brief existence in the the landscape of time and space...

Poor loves just need a cuddle.

Blore and Bear are STILL smarting from the "least talented" remark. You can feel it rolling around in their heads like a lone marble in a dark tunnel.

I don't feel that they feel they are getting the reverence and respect they somehow think they deserve from the likes of James, Saira and Biggins.

Bit in bold - that terminology is very interesting. The young 'uns, as though they're children for whom allowances must be made. These are adults - and adults with, in at least one or two cases, considerable fan-bases. Perhaps if someone had asked them a few pertinent questions and forced them to consider their answers a few years ago they wouldn't have turned out quite so obnoxious. What's so wrong with asking them questions? Shouldn't they be questioning what it is they do for a living? Shouldn't they be encouraged to reflect a bit on who they are?

I know nothing of James outside of BB, but after the last 4/5 days he has demonstrated the patience of a saint with their antics.

It's not all the young ones !
They're not that young!
It was meant to be nice with a gradual grading of ages this time.
I haven't looked up how old Boom man is?
The problem is there are 3 men now and one woman.
A very intimidating combination when they target someone.
They only target one at a time.
I get quite irritated the way Lewis and Bear are described as hunks.
BB very annoying keeping Bear out of eviction.

I agree that Sam and Renee are.
Bovey has always had an eye for women that's all he's doing . He's after Marnie.Caused him problems with each group .He was nominated by some young and older alike.
Sam and Renee also fit in with all age groups. The Americans are a very close group.

The oldies had all that AND were 4 MINUTES away from nuclear armageddon ... but you try and tell the young people today that... and they won't believe ya'.

Bear, Marnie and Lewis campaigned hard to stay in the EU, and are now disillusioned with the older generation who sold them down the river

I didn't mean all young people - it related to those we see performing on BB.
They just don't have any control - It's calm cuddly then shouting, in your face aggression.
Chill out you have a long time to live - don't peak too early!
