BB in a america is based on the "Big Brother means replacement dad" meaning not the george orwel 1984 totalitarian state meaning we have... there are already enough celeb do reality shows in american not to need CBB i expect.... and definitely not in a format they would not recognise.

They're all over here in CBBUK?

The one that's airing at the moment included four previous contestants from earlier BB series coming back. In our country that probably would be called CBB.

CBS looked after bb so there was no need for CBB.

Most countries don't.

In fact Italian BB is doing a Grande Fratello VIP for the first time ever this Autumn. They've never done a celeb series and GF has been on for 15 years. I assume more and more people will start doing this.

Bigg Boss, the Indian version of BB has always been a celebrity version although I have heard there may be some "civilians" in the next series.

Nicki Graham said that the American and Canadian ones were the same as each other as she had being in the Canadian one

They are.

I watched 2 series of BBUSA and the Canadian one Nikki was on just recently. They are both with no public vote and all about HMs voting (like we saw during Annihilation week).

However sometimes there are moments where public gets involved with the "American Choice" which could be either for the public to control a HM, or the public voting for someone to receive a bit of money, as usually the winner gets the most money (but very rarely is the winner popular with the public).

In terms of Nikki, she was voted in by the public, she then was voted as one of the most popular in viewer polls when she was in there, and she was popular generally with the Canadian public as people enjoyed her Nikki tantrums and there had never been anyone like her in the Canadian version.

It was good seeing Nikki and Tim on the Canadian BB.

'The Surreal life' was their equivalent.

LOL. Wishful thinking on your part! No genuine American celebrities, of which there are many, would want to take part in CBB. You are kidding yourself if you think the Americans who are in CBB are considered celebrities in America.

Tim suited it more as he played the game, they desperately need people to do that on that version.

I think they have the right idea in the US, reality shows are better not with celebs who people often have set opinions about anyway. They have Allstar seasons for shows which have returning people who know how to play, and I think that's enough. Celeb reality shows can just have people turning up to take the appearance fee.

No, they've never done one. And I doubt they ever would. The show itself just isn't that popular, that it'd be much of a draw. And like others have said, there are plenty of other shows that feature z-list celebrities to take up the slack.

And, the show is different. Meaner, in that success usually comes out of duping people into believing you. And it's much more about competitions, so athleticism is a large component. Not many celebrities would want to sign up for that.

The USA's format is a cutthroat competition where they're trying to win, a Celebrity edition would be a dull one without any strategy with half of them wanting to get out.

They are though, not A-list granted but the UK CBB contestants aren't A-list over here either.

They don't need it the regular one rates well enough so why pay celebs to do it?

They are in fact doing series 19 almost straight after series 18 but it will be on CBS All Access only
