If Craig is not a judge I can see the O'Carroll clan being well represented.

Maybe Agnes could host ??

I was surprised to see this tweeted out today. Already can fill in some of the lineup I reckon, a Fair City cast member, an ex-GAA/Rugby/Soccer star, an IT girl type (i.e. Roz Purcell), an old school singer, possibly a Seoige and Twink/Linda Martin (they're interchangeable).

I do worry regarding production values in terms of set and costumes.

Wonder who the first affair will be. I mean its bound to happen and the Irish celeb scene hasn't been that salacious since the Celtic Tiger days.

Would think someone like Chris Johnson of SuperShag Dance School Boston would be a nap for judge for this (Tristan used to work at his studios) well qualified and Irish

Yes! This must happen!

I reckon RTÉ and BBC struck a deal that the two shows can't be on at the same time hence winter. I wonder if DSIwould just lend DWTSROI a load of Dresses from this series and others. I also wonder if Strictly would allow a few of the non tour pros to be pros over the Irish Sea. I wonder if Carrie Crowley is available? She was fantastic hosting ESC 1997!

I can see them being more risky with themes. Quite looking forward to it really.

Strictly costumes are definitely re-used by other European broadcasters - it has been mentioned on ITT several times, so almost a given.

I'm Irish and I can honestly say that I am not looking forward to this and am afraid it will be absolutely sh*te.

Could be wrong of course but time will tell.

I'm thinking the surnames Lynch, Corr and O'Carroll to feature heavily

I could imagine Vincent having some sort of role in this since he spends a good part of his home life over there in Ireland. Maybe he could be on the judging panel (?)

Vincent would be good on the judging panel but feel they might steer away from people associated with SCD and go for Irish judges of which there are many

Someone from a US dance school to judge in Ireland? I wouldn't have thought so, even if he is Irish. But I could be wrong.

From what I know the Latin and Ballroom scene is not big in Ireland . Have no idea where they're going to find all the pros or the constant stream of celebs .

I hope it works well but I have major doubts .

First reaction, am absolutely dreading it - but will of course be glued to my TV watching it . I may need to have some cushions to hide behind. On the other hand perhaps I better start lobbying someone for audience tickets... tis a very small world over here I'm bound to know someone who knows someone .

Darren has been judging DWTS in Lebanon in recent years - could def see him wanting to judge the Irish one being nearer home

my former pupils some of whom are dancers on BTF have been posting recruitment posters for this on their Facebook pages today - wonder if the Jordans would be interested in it ?? possibly

Possibly from the same place at Strictly finds them when needed - i.e. overseas!
