The UK has had 32 days of CBB beginning in January, followed by a 4 month break. Then BB17 started in June and lasted 50 days. Now, a couple of days later CBB has begun again. Emma said on launch night it would last 4 weeks so lets assume, like the CBB series before it, the show will go on for 32 days. That is 112 days of BBUK, including a 4 month break,

Today it has been revealed that the American version is expected to start BB19 around a week after BB18 finishes this September. BB18 will end after 99 days, and BB19 is expected to last 71 days. That is 170 days of Big Brother (including live feeds) with a break of a week.

I take it back, BBUK, we don't have BB overkill here!

Well, BBUS only airs three times a week, so for the vast majority of the audience who doesn't watch live feed, you can cut that 170 in half to make a fair comparison.

Well, they've never done it before. So it's new to have more than one season a year.

And this BB19 is apparently going to be only online, not broadcast.

I'd guess it could be an experiment to see if going online only is viable.
