Can't you catch things from spit?

In the US you can be charged with assault for spitting.

Very unlikely.

Your more likely to catch something from Marnie just by sitting next to her.

Spitting in someone's food isn't always completely harmless. I don't like bear and agree he should of been warned for previous behaviour but that was a shocking and disgusting thing to do.

Yeah, I don't see it as a one or the other thing. They ALL should have been issued warnings.

Marnie is a walking STD

I do actually think the spitting deserved a warning - it is a disgusting thing to do and could in rare cases spread an infection.

However, I had to gape at them stating that they had to give a warning as they could not tolerate anything that other housemates OR the viewing public could find offensive.

Well, i found Marnie jiggling her tits in a woman's face offensive. I found 3 men surrounding an older man and touching him (even if it was just his head) repeatedly whilst he told them to stop and them saying the more he complained the more they'd do it offensive.

I found a man saying that he could and would kiss anybody he wanted to and nobody could stop him offensive.

Why have Bear, Lewis, Heavy and Marnie not been given warnings for their actions?

Her, Lewis and Bear should be forced to wear full astronaut type suits to protect the HM's from their STD's....or whatever they no doubt have.

Flashing tits no warning. Last year flashing penis out the door. Taunting and touching James after he asked them to stop no warning. Spitting formal warning.

TOTALLY agree, great post!

I hate spitting but there's been a lot more happening in there than just THAT. I suppose with the spitting they had to reprimand in case he caught something and sued - which begs the question if they're always watching why didn't they stop him eating it? Weird.

But I have no idea where BB is coming from this year.

Insidious actions like spitting and the first physically aggressive moves have not come from the "Squad" but from entitled snobbish "stars". The squad's hen night/stag night crap is nothing compared to those acts.

If this was Civilian BB, They would've been evicted on the spot. The bias is astonishing.

Technically it is assault in this country if you deliberately spit at someone. I am not sure if that would extend to spitting in a sarnie.

This might be really conspiracy theory, but aside from the possibility of being sued once he found out about it on leaving (whether he caught something or not), maybe they hadn't got enough drama out of it? After all, it was secret (relatively) and provided nobody that saw it happen spilt the beans about it (which they were unlikely to as i think they were all fed up about how far Bear and Heavy were taking the Master/Servent thing) then there would have been no fallout on the show. And BB like fallout. They like confrontations and grudges.

BB sees all but is very picky about when they do and don't intervene.

Don't get men wrong, it was disgusting and she was right to be warned over that...but there has been FAR WORSE things going on in there, the whole mood of the house seems aggressive and unpleasant to me...and thats down to Bear and Lewis, and yet NOTHING has ever been said to them.

Marnie should of been given a warning but that the only other thing that has happened.

Technically it is Assault to touch somebody anywhere on their body without their consent which is what happened to James a couple of days ago but no warning was given then.

I also think that Marnie's shoving her bare tits in somebody's face without their prior consent would be indecent exposure which is also illegal but nothing has been said there either.

Spitting in someone's food and drink is beneath contempt.

OP is incorrect.

Bear, for instance, has had at least one warning, though likely not formal.

I would guess others have too... just because they don't show them doesn't mean they're not happening.

Spitting in someones food is more serious though.

Totally agree. Boom making Chloe and Saira hand wash his soiled pants is worse than spit. I would rather deal with someone's spit than faeces. Also asking Chloe to give him a hand/blow job, I as the viewing public find highly offensive. He should also have been given a warning.

Spitting in someones food isn't as serious as the constant vile and aggressive language and behaviour of some of the others.
