My hubby said this.................the fact that Bear could have dropped his trousers and flashed he would have been out the door. Also, did someone on a show not get a warning for invading someone's personal space|? Or a chat about it? Unwanted attention scenarios..................

Look what happened when Denise pulled bits of the twins trousers down......
TOTALLY agree, great post!

I hate spitting but there's been a lot more happening in there than just THAT. I suppose with the spitting they had to reprimand in case he caught something and sued - which begs the question if they're always watching why didn't they stop him eating it? Weird.

But I have no idea where BB is coming from this year.
I truly think THEY don't know either!
And I actually agree with the o.p, that worse things have been done in that house that haven't even merited a warning.

Exactly, they'd rather sacrifice morality for ratings.

Yes it is.

Half of the current BBUS house is having to take herpes meds because of poor hygiene.

And as I said Bear has had warnings, he's said he has on the show.

And, that is the crux of it.

When did Bear say that? I'm not doubting you, it's just I didn't notice it and would like to hear what he said and as I've series linked it, i should be able to go back to it.

To be honest, i think when there is so much discussion about the show and the 'morality' of it, they should make it very clear whenever anybody has had a warning and what it was for. Even if they don't show it being given to them, have it as part of the narration as i think they did in January with Steph and or Megan following their tantrums and threats.

Otherwise it is not presenting BB or Endemol in a good light if people think they're being selective re warnings and also might be doing housemates a disservice. Presently i'd be more likely to vote out Marnie, Bear, Lewis or Heavy because i think they are being given preferential treatment by not being given warnings. I'd think better of them if it was made clear they had been.

Spitting is disgusting and should have got a final warning but still think Marnie should have had a final warning for what she did to Saira

BB should have called Aubrey straight to the diary room and stopped Bear eating and drinking what she made where is there duty of care. They don't seem to care what the housemates do any more on condition it makes good TV -in their eyes anyway

Was pretty early on... 2nd or 3rd episode I would think

He said he was told off for something he said... was sitting on the sofa at the time.

I suppose BB had to let Bear eat the sandwich first, which I'm sure he was thoroughly enjoying by the way he tucked into it, before they got something bad enough to punish somebody for.

They could have stopped it at any time before the sandwich and drink got to Bear's gob.
But they had to wait for the moment until they could punish her.

I dare say that Aubrey was aware that the cameras could see what she was doing, but as BB didn't stop her she probably thought "Fukc it. They don't seem to be bothered about it so I guess it must be okay".

BB appeared to be fine to allow it to happen and THEN think they needed to provide Bear with medical attention. So why aren't BB culpable for allowing a situation to occur which needed immediate medical attention?

Which got no mention at all on tonight's show. Which is very interesting.

Yes. As I said on another thread, BB is failing in its duty of care.

If they were that worried about the health implications, they should have stopped it happening, either by calling Aubrey into the DR as soon as she did it and stating that nobody could take the sandwich/drink to Bear in her absence or by calling Bear in to tell him not to eat/drink them.

They wanted the drama of it.

Well, i found Marnie jiggling her tits in a woman's face offensive. I found 3 men surrounding an older man and touching him (even if it was just his head) repeatedly whilst he told them to stop and them saying the more he complained the more they'd do it offensive.

I found a man saying that he could and would kiss anybody he wanted to and nobody could stop him offensive.

Why have Bear, Lewis, Heavy and Marnie not been given warnings for their actions?”

Me too. Agree 100% with all of the above.

It seems to have been overlooked that Big Brother didn't stop Bear from consuming the spat on items, they told him afterwards - this I find extremely bizarre myself, going to all the supposed rigmarole of giving him medical advice, etc. but not actually STOPPING him from consuming the drink and sandwich!

It hasn't been overlooked at all. Loads of people have posted about that very fact.

A random individual finding something offensive isn't the appropriate standard, so it doesn't show that BB should have warned anyone. Ofcom is similar, in case anyone's thinking of trying that route.

Why on earth should she have had a final warning for that?

Do you think it made good tv?

They're all adults anyway. So what exactly is BB's duty of care?

Sorry, I wasn't clear - I meant overlooked by Big Brother. That's what I get for waking straight from a nap and posting Why on earth didn't they stop him? Seems really odd behaviour.

It is strange. Did BB not realise soon enough what had happened, or did BB have some reason to think the stuff wouldn't be consumed?

Well, as they say they brought in medical advice - they know that their duty of care is more than to just let it pass. I think we are all aware that diseases can be spread through saliva.

Yes, we all know that he shares fluids on a regular basis with girls - kissing them whenever he wants - but that's his choice and when he decides (and her, obviously). Not by having it fed to him in a sandwich involuntarily.

It was also strange that WE only found out about the spitting (and watched the footage) when Aubrey was hauled into the DR and given the warning. We saw Bear eat the sandwich earlier, but never knew about the spitting until she got her warning.

Something tells me BB made the most of it. .

Yes, of course they did - and they seem to be in love with the flash-back at the moment, taking every opportunity to hide the event and then spring a flash-back on us.

Yes, the flashback seems to be very in at the moment.
