Should Heavy D even be in there ?
hisdogspot

I've thought for a while now that he's a bit simple-minded, and tonight I was convinced of it

On live-feed Lewis said, in the garden, that Heavy was Bear's 'Igor', and followed it with a shoulder drooping, gaping mouthed parody of an imbecile

Inside, several housemates gently advised Heavy that he should stop doing silly things because others were encouraging him to

All in all, it gave the impression of someone who has gone into that house without the means to cope

Should BB be putting people of clear limited ability into the house in the first place ?

As long as there are some housemates in there to support him i don't see why not, if anything this is a good experience for him as he will learn things in there that he may never had learned on the outside.. Besides on previous series we have had housemates like Gale Porter and other such housemates who seemed a little unstable, personally i respect the fact everyone is given a shot to enter and hopefully Heavy D takes something positive from this experience.

He makes very uncomfortable viewing. He is probably the HM out of all seasons I would least like to share a house with. He's definitely not all there and what is there is rude and obnoxious and sexist.

I agree. Very nasty side to him. He took that task way too far. I found that revolting. No fan of Chloe, but I would have refused to wash his repellent undergarments.

He doesn't seem to be the sharpest tool in the drawer but I wouldn't have said he fell within the definition of "a vulnerable person" when it came to be answerable for his actions or 'challenged' to the point that his participation becomes exploitative.

He seems to have a mental age somewhere in the mid teens of course he shouldn't be in there, it's horribly exploitative.

Agreed. His expression when he realised he'd pushed Chloe too far and she'd messed up his bed was one of a stunned toddler. He was truly contrite afterwards, as if he hadn't understood that he was going too far.

I don't understand why it's exploitative,

OP I agree. He's the very epitome of easily led - it was just unfortunate that the 'squad' became his initial peer group rather than the others. Watching last night's LF it was obvious that he has very much realised that he was being led the wrong way. Aubrey, Ricky and James spoke to him calmly and clearly, and you could see how upset he was at his previous behaviour - he even acknowledged that he only went along with it to fit in.

He isn't a saint and his treatment of Chloe was poor but I think he was goaded into pushing it and I think he was too naive to realise when he was crossing the line.

Lewis, Marnie and Bear are poisonous in that they're very adept at making bullets for other people to fire - and then justifying this behaviour amongst themselves to normalise it - unfortunately, Heavy is BEYOND easy prey for them. They even admitted it was the case in the smoking area when they were calling him Igor. Vipers.

When Bear couldnt wait to approach Heavy to 'own up' to kissing Chloe under the guise of "just being honest", you could see it all falling into place for Heavy that they definitely weren't his friends.

I found it uncomfortable watching the squad taking advantage of him but, I think, if he sticks with Ricky, Aubrey et al then I think BB will be a very good experience for him. Hopefully the others will look out for him a bit more.

Also, on the LF all of the housemates who don't feature heavily in the main show were chatting and larking about really well - wonder if the producers will stick to their usual MO of ignoring this and showing more moronic Truth or Dare from the Knob Squad.

He appears to be lacking in the most basic of social boundaries, only when something is pointed out to him does he realise that he's crossed the line. But only because several other HM's point that out to him. Whether he really understands that or not is another matter, as he'll then go on to do/say something else equally crass, & so it continues!

He's definitely not all there, & his behaviour is reminiscent of that of a 13 year old immature boy!

Absolutely. If they reprimanded Aubrey for passing bodily fluids to Bear without his permission they should certainly have sanctioned Heavy's request for Chloe to wash his underpants (and he didn't stop going on about the bloody skid marks). She should have point blank refused rather than try to retalliate. I am so tired of the "pranks" this year. 'Dumb and Dumber' et al. have a LOT to answer for.

It was more of a reference to Igor, a catch-all name for servants of various horror icons such as Dracula and Frankenstein

The housemates aren't in there to support anybody but themselves, and this year's lot with a few exceptions are nasty, scheming bullies.
Gale Porter's irrelevant. She ISN'T there. Instead you have a feral group who would stab their own grannies for airtime. This year has the most volatile bunch of HMs I've ever seen. Bear and Lewis could erupt at any moment into a brawl, and they ARE using D as their personal court jester. Even the well meaning HMs aren't going to get in the middle of that palava, and I don't blame them. D is easily manipulated, and he has a group of truly vile people using him for their petty entertainment. It won't end well.

I agree with most of this apart from the BIB... I don't think those housemates are volatile, I think they're poisonous bastards who thrive on being as anti-social as possible.

Re the first sentence, part of human nature is to care and support people who might be taken advantage of or be struggling in life. It isn't assigned to anyone as a job but it's just part of human interaction. And while it's difficult to watch it, when someone steps in to stop it then it not only provides balance but it shows up how truly awful the others are.

If I was in there, I'd have nipped the spitefulness in the bud...and happily wiped the floor with those nasty cretins.

They need someone young enough to play the game and old/mature enough to beat them at it.

That's not at all a comparison and you know it. People have washed others clothes before on BB, and someone can just decline it. Someone can't even decline spit in food when they don't know about it.

This forum does get ridiculous at times in people's desperation to hate.
