When I first started posting on this forum 'The Waltons' was for some reason the go to comparison whenever anybody said they didn't enjoy all the bitching and nastiness. "What do you want? The Waltons?" - for some reason there is never an inbetween, its always an either-or.

The show is quite capable of being two things at once if it wants. There's no reason at all why they can't show exchanges that tell us more about the life and backstory of the people involved AND still show them drinking and snogging too. To be honest I expect the romantic hooks-up might even be a lot more accepted by the viewers if they'd given us some more insight into the characters outside of their alloted tropes first.

Story-telling 101 really - and that's what the editing of the show is supposed to be about.”

Totally agreed.

In BB2, we'd got to know Helen and Paul long before the romance began, and even when it did, it was a true blossoming of a relationship rather than straight into bed together and fumbling under the covers. Actually, now I think of it, I preferred the separate male and female bedrooms too.

For those that watch if for the arguments, nudity and bitching - there was plenty of that going on too! However, the conversations and true interaction by the housemates made the viewers fell that we really got to know them .

Oh, it was so much better in the old days.........**wistful sigh**

Lewis tries to instigate conversations about mathematics but it always comes back to Bear's stinky finger and Marnie's tits

"Truth or dare."
The last time i played this i was about 12 years old.

It's so immature.

Why can't they have a decent conversation instead ?”

It is so they can behave like arses without taking responsibilty.
