I hope it's Terra's time to go because I want Gleb and Jana to make the final. But as Gleb and Jana have been in the bottom two most weeks it could be them. They don't seem to be getting the support the other pairs have. Fingers crossed.........

I agree. I think Calvin deserved to go but I am so happy that Gleb and Jana are through. I think she has improved immensely over the weeks and I hope they do a contemporary next week. Laurie and Val are the bookies favourites but I don't care for Val's choreography. That probably won't matter in the end.

Always enjoyable to see the scoring on DWTS. Calvin stumbles around like a drunk, gets 8's and a 9. The rest of the dances were apparently nigh on perfect, scoring 10 and the occasional 9. Terrific stuff.
I'll be please when this season is over. Laurie will surely win but tbh I find her rather annoying. James is apparently "the best male celeb ever" (not so sure about that) and yet is as interesting as a sponge and Calvin, although likeable, just isn't very good (not helped by being paired with the annoying/limited Lindsey). I find Jana the most watchable and hope she wins but I can't see it. |

I much prefer celebrities who've improved throughout so I'd go for Jana or James.

There has been a change in Jana and Gleb's dance. They will be doing a VW instead of the AT. She explains it in this interview done with the 4 finalists describing what they are doing for the finals and little bit about their freestyles. It sounds like Gleb is under some choreography stress.

I suppose setting up the shower and cleaning it all up is a lot of work for the production team. Not surprised they said no to the tango in the shower with Jana and Gleb. Latest tweet from Jana is that Gleb has the flu and she is practising with Alan again.

There is a question of whether Gleb will be able to dance on Monday. I hope so -it would be tough for Jana to dance with a new partner this late in the game when everyone is used to her with Gleb.

I feel the freestyle makes it or breaks it for a couple - the pro's choreo and how the celeb performs said choreo. Even if they have danced well all season, the freestyle can win or lose it on the last week.
Last night we had three great freestyles by Laurie, Calvin and James. So I am guessing it is one that appealed to the viewers the most. I personally loved James and Sharna and her creativity at combining ballroom and contemporary and I thought he danced it well.. But I admit I am biased because I have been supporting them the entire season. Calvin's was so high energy and I thought he did a great job. Laurie's was fun and upbeat and she always is technically on point. Most of the polls right now have Laurie as the winner but I have seen a few that have James. Tonight they do their favorite dances over and have the 24 hour fusion dances. Then it comes down to the judges, which I believe counts 50% towards final numbers for the win. Laurie is the highest on the leader board, then James, then Calvin. |

I take that back. After last night, pretty much every poll has Laurie as the winner.

I am also sorry that Jana and Gleb didn't make the last night. They didn't use other dancers to fill out space when they danced, Just the two of them which I liked. It was a shame that Gleb was struggling with the flu. He didn't look or sound at all well. But they have been in the bottom two more than the others so it wasn't really a surprise. I don't really mind who wins from the other three.

I know some people despised the All Stars season, but if they do another one I'd vote for Jana to take part; she's been somewhat screwed by injury and illness all season, and still danced brilliantly.

Still gotta be James. Laurie was brilliant but James was brillianter with all that characterisation in the Foxtrot. |

Apparently James survived a car accident? They kept that quiet.
Disappointed with the winner. Poor finale, poor season. |

Hairspray/Derek
Not sure anyone is interested, but a live recording of Hairspray on Broadway is on ITV2 at 8pm tonight. My telly guide doesn't mention Derek, but the promo pic has him on it, so I guess he's in it.
(It was broadcast live in the US originally but not live tonight )
