Apparently Mark is out ...we'll see tomorrow but that's what " sure sources say".
Poor guy. They keep doing him dirty on this show. He wanted to have Laurie but they gave her to Val ...and to add insult to injury they didnt put him this season. He has the worst luck I swear.

Gleb with singer Jana Kramer, 32, who just broke up with her husband. Looks like they may be going "all in" with Gleb. I'll say it again - poor Artem.

Stunned about Mark. I would have figured they'd drop Sasha before him.

He had Paige last season and has a great musical career in front of him along with him getting married in the upcoming few years. Hardly the worst luck.

Artem definitely in the Tony/Anton role on this show. Such a waste.

I had to look up Geb's partner. Young and beautiful. I prefer new pros to get someone with half a chance the way SCD try to to do it, so I've no issue with him getting her, but it's another slap in the face to A.

edy - I can't agree about Mark. He's taken his turn with one or two duds over the years, certainly more so than Derek and Val, but mostly he's been favoured with great partners. I'm surprised he's been dropped over Sasha and Artem - just because they're the two whose job it is to be grateful for the sweepings off the floor - but maybe he didn't want to play second fiddle and chose to have a break.

I'm not sure if Val is a great fit for Laurie, but it would have been pretty boring for Derek or Mark to have had a THIRD gymnast. Sasha would have been good, but I suppose he or Mark were the only ones who could realistically have danced with Sasha's partner (forget her name ).

Out of the top 4 producer choice pros Mark is the one who is treated the worst he got Bristol out of all his partners for the all stars, he actually gets duffers, he is judged the hardest by the judges re choreography, he asked for a contestant and she is given to Val

I don't see the point bringing Maks (I'm done now I won) and Derek back again this idea the show can't survive without these 2 is stupid I wouldn't have minded if Laurie had be given to Sasha you could argue height reasons but Val could easily been partnered with Amber, Mark with Sasha's partner Tony with Derek's. I hope there is a surprise and Mark is doing this season but it looks extremely unlikely.

Jana is 5'4" and no offence to Gleb I prefer Mark and it would have been nice to see him dance with someone nearer his own age

I don't disagree regarding Val and Derek, but Maks has had some duds.

Mark eats at the top table, he just doesn't get to sit in the centre, so I'm not going to feel too sorry for him. Not while the likes of Emma, Sasha and Artem have to eat outside

Yeah, for every Mel B and Meryl, he's had a Debi Mazar or Denise Richards.

BIB
And I totally agree with you about Val and Laurie and we are not the only ones who share this sentiment; Ive seen a lot of people already expressing their disappointment that he has her; I am a HUGE gymnastics fan so I have been following Rio and knows all about the US girls . I am disappointed that he has her . She is so bubbly, lovely..... personality wise I dont feel like they match . I feel like she might not have as much fun doing the show as she thinks that she will.

I know a lot of people are going to draw the Zendaya parallels because she was also 16 when she did the show but its different. Zendaya is the completely opposite of Laurie; even at that age.
Laurie needed a FUN, good-natured pro like Mark , Sasha, Gleb (shame about the height) or even Derek who can adapt himself very well with partners; Val is just TOO serious and intense a lot of the times; especially when he has someone who is very good. Just watch towards the last weeks of the competitions, its going to be work, work, work and no fun.
He is an AMAZING pro dont get me wrong, and he will finally have his wish to have a gymnast but as someone who knows her work and like her as a person, I am a bit disappointed with the pairing.

They will make the FINALE though I am convinced; She is a great dancer, is NOT shy, has an amazing personality, total sweetheart so yeah.

Huh ? Sasha's partner ? Do you mean the other gymnast who was supposed to have Sasha ? Simone Biles ? She is just CRAZY BUSY at the moment so she couldn't do the show this Fall; she will do it next Spring.
Her and Laurie are totally alike personality wise

Here is the interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSFrr1fuDtw that ALL the girls did a few days ago where one of them (Gabby ) revealed by mistake that one or 2 of them were going to do DWTS; At 8:21 .. For those who dont know who they are , Simone and Laurie are two 2 loudest one of the 5 and the ones who are constantly giggling and whispering to each other.

I am sure he is stunned as well ; very recent interviews about him had him looking forward to this season and even his potential partner; he wanted Laurie Hernandez lol. Not only has he been dropped but Val got her.

He had Paige last season and has a great musical career in front of him along with him getting married in the upcoming few years. Hardly the worst luck.
It's not like his musical career is really popping off like he wants; just honest. Besides the Dwts crowd, and some fans of him, no one really knows that he sings. People Outside of that realm mostly recognize him mostly has Mark the dancer guy from DWTS. I hate to sound harsh ( and sorry if I sound this way but its the truth)

BIB Thank you, exactly; And this is just some of it. Sometimes the songs that he wants to dance for, gets given to either Derek or Val. Like cmon....yes he had his fair share of duffers, ringers but I feel like he had the short end of the stick quite a lot sometimes

I agree but Artem and Emma made their choice they could have been on strictly which is fairer. Personally I would have paired Laurie with Sasha as Mark had 2 gymnasts before

As for Maks he fell out if favour at one point and that is why he got duffers

BIB. You could say that about all the pros in a way - no one has to join the show or renew their contract. I'm simply pointing out, in the grand scheme of things, that Mark hasn't had it so tough. I despise the hierarchical nature of DWTS, but it is what it is. I'd love to know whether, when pros like Artem and Emma were offered jobs, they made it clear they would always be third tier pros or whether they promised the earth 😏 .

Setting the feelings and egos of the pros aside - and more importantly - I think the loaded system robs the viewer of interest and variety.

I was a bit surprised to see this quote from Rob Wade

"I personally get bored with seeing the pros with the same types of people season after season. It is fun to tell a different type of story when you pair them with different people."
http://www.people.com/article/dancin...rets-exclusive

Tony, Artem and Emma must've been thinking 'Seriously?!'

It must be quite hard when its not just a question of established pros being above you in the hierarchy, but you then get newer pros like Keo and Gleb coming in and still getting better partners than you. I suppose the money makes up for a lot of it though.

Pretty stacked cast.

The Republican loons will surely block vote Rick through the first through rounds, won't they? I can't really see an obvious first out among this lot.

I quite like the pro line-up but I'm not sure about Julianne returning, when I first found out she would be on the panel, I thought "Great, another ballroom/latin dancer on the panel who could back up Len when Carrie Ann and Bruno OVER-MARK and ignore lack of content." But she didn't seem to do that.

I feel sorry for Emma in particular, apart from Hayes, she has had TERRIBLE partners.

Tony has not had a decent one for a while and Artem has only had 1 good one.

It is about time Mark and DEREK get an ANN WIDDECOMBE style partner.

What IS PureDWTS' problem with Val?! Every post they've uploaded today is snarking about him in some way.

I'm up and down about Val, but their incessant disparagement makes me want to support him and puts me off Derek ... which I know isn't fair, because he just tries to do a good job and doesn't stir the fanwarz pot. They really let him down.

(I'm sure some of Val's fans can be equally ugly, but they don't have the same platform and I'm not going looking )

I completely agree with bib just wish Emma and artem did the same as Pasha and picked strictly over dwts, I was only comparing Mark with the other 3

As for my comment that Artem and Emma made their choice they had the choice between the 2 shows many of the pros on dwts and possibly scd would love that option but never got that opportunity they did

As for Val and puredwts I know there was a pretty petty nasty twitter argument but they never really liked Val just because they didn't like Maks it's petty
