I don't think he or Cheryl were touched - from what I gather so far, there were 2 men - one or both yelling "liar" while Carrie Ann was giving critique - a security guard tackled one of them and there's a photo of them lying on the dancefloor - another later photo of both guys outside in handcuffs with "No Lochte" signs on their t-shirts, probably from Brazil.

Someone called Gleb's waltz with his partner "raunchy." Quel surprise. Derek's older lady is amazing of course. Much better than Artem's. Of course.

The little gymnast will win, unless she's injured or something. Val and Maks have hideous hair styles. Maks' partner awkward - he'll be raging...

Yeah, one tried to get to him though.

Just uncalled for.

Liked Rick Perry, he was a good sport.

Jake out hopefully or Artems partner.

A lot of the media and their TV comedy news programs are to blame for the OTT hatred Ryan is receiving.

When he was announced as a contestant they continued ripping him to shreds and fuelling fire to the flames.

Its just awful.

Hope the show didn't set that attack up - it wouldn't surprise me. They're probably rubbing their hands in glee. Lots of fodder - Maureen (poor Artem) and Jake like you said - also Terra, Rick, Babyface (Allison's a terrible pro), hard to tell about Vanilla with 6 pros onstage with him WTH, Amber may be a dud too.

I doubt it.

Probably wanted some hecklers and boos but nobody running on stage.

The Show giving him that song was ridiculous. Almost baiting and they got what they deserved.

Ryan did not deserve that.

Oh I was wrong - from another board: "four women and two men, all wearing the same shirt. The men rushed the stage, security scuffled with them, one fell into Ryan and Cheryl. Oh, and Derek came in to help remove the women (all the big strong men and only Derek gets a mention? if it weren't so serious I'd laugh)."

http://www.ew.com/article/2016/09/12...hte-incident?1

Video of some of incident - women with anti-Lochte shirts shown at the end being escorted out (not by Derek but you can see him yelling at them just before they leave):

Contrary to what a lot of people think, I still don't think Laurie has it in the bag. Mostly because of Val. He's notoriously awful with freestyles and I'm sorry to say but one of the main reasons why he won with Rumer was because the show finally decided that it was his time and invested into making that happen.

Whenever he has been in a final with Derek, the latter beat him. Season 16 everyone swore up and down he would win with Zendaya, same monentum, talented dancer. ...but in the finals Derek did that freestyle with Kellie pickler and won. Everyone was shocked. I'm just saying , never count him out

I still think that Derek and his partner will edge them in the finals and potentially win. I think that at the moment , with all the momentum on Laurie people are forgetting/underestimating Derek which is a No, No.

Poor Ryan must be rattled after that incident . ...he wasn't as bad as I thought he would be. I hope he lasts a few more weeks.

I keep reading that the camera avoided Marilu's bottom half and her feet - and they were obscured in other ways as well. Plus the judges gave them a undeserved tongue-bath (according to many.) I get so sick of Derek's partners being propped. It happens again and again....

I've watched Marilu and Derek's Jive. It's a tricky situation, I don't think it deserved to be second on the leaderboard but 27 was about right.

I really like Marilu! I didn't know her until she was announced on this show and her clear joy taking part is lovely but the favouritism towards Derek immediately puts me off the pair which is a shame.

I read the PureDWTS blog before watching the clips, and I don't know why I bothered.

They were basically making out that Marilu had just performed the best jive EVA. I watched it, and it was far from perfect, despite her strong dance background.

Also, since Laurie is a gymnast, she's already been deemed a ringer. I didn't hear those accusations when Mark had Aly? Or are they only ringers when they're good, despite having the same training?

They really are so biased over there, and swarm down like harpies on any dissenting views.

Want to survive over there? DEREK=GOOD VAL=BAAAAD

ETA - I'm a big fan of Derek...I just find Pure's militant dogma a bore.

Well, she never gets a chance to out dance the other pros...

NO, Allison, doing everything fast *doesn't* make it better.

I used to watch Dancing with the stars a few years ago when we used to get it on British tv.

Where are you all watching it? I didn't think it was on tv in the UK anymore.

Nicola, I just watch clips on YouTube. It seems sometimes the official channel makes the videos available for other countries, then other times not. That said, you can still see clips from other channels, but quality and visibility (thanks to borders etc) are often questionable

I Don't see much change this series disappointed this week by Vanilla Ice& Jake I thought both would be better. I think Rick or Ryan will be gone next week or hopefully that dwarf as she is too short for Sasha and too short to be on the show. I think as much as people think Laurie's got it in the bag I think Marilu& Derek will be the dark horses& upset the carthorse giving the Hough his 7th Mirrorball trophy by xmas # the new oldest winner of DWTS

Sad that Emma and Artem have got duds again.
Rick should have Witney, Vanilla Ice with Lindsay, and Calvin with Emma. I wish Karina and Edyta were back over Allison and Jenna. Neither did it for me last night.
On the male side, Artem and Val should swap partners.

Don't call Terra 'that dwarf'- not the nicest way to refer to someone with a disability.

hm but as we know that's not how DWTS works is it, its the same pros getting duffers and ringers every season

I think that James Hinchcliffe (the Indy car driver with Sharna) will be the dark horse. Let's see how his Latin is and if he can be build a fan base weekly.

1. Laurie & Val - a wonderful and strong first performance from the Olympic gymnast, her movement in the Cha-cha-cha was powerful and dynamic. I expect her to make the final. Projected finish (2nd)
2. James & Sharna - the racing car driver delivered a fantastic Foxtrot, his frame was really splendid and he only went off time once, I think he will be another finalist. Projected finish (3rd)
3. Marilu & Derek - a great first showing from this television legend, she clearly has the moves and I think they will make the final - a dark horse for the mirror ball I would say. Projected finish (1st)
4. Jana & Gleb - very sultry, great chemistry and good lines from the country music singer. I do think she will surprise, and end up in the latter half of the competition. Projected finish (5th)
5. Babyface & Allison - the music icon was smooth and silky, as I expected. He moves well for his age, and I think he is another that will reach the later stages of the show. Projected finish (6th)
6. Calvin & Lindsay - I don't think the football great will win this season, but I do believe he could improve and make the final with the NFL vote to bat - this was a charismatic performance and he nailed almost all the movements. Projected finish (4th)
7. Vanilla Ice & Witney - I don't believe the rap legend nailed the dance style, most of the good parts came in the hip-hop sections, so I am unsure if he will actually be good in Ballroom and Latin, however, this dance is enough nostalgia to see him safe and mid-table this week. Projected finish (10th)
8. Maureen & Artem - why are people being so hard on this Brady Bunch icon? I have watched her Viennese Waltz back several times, and I certainly think she was underscored. Though she does need to finesse her moves and calm her nerves a bit, she showed great promise and looked very stately and elegant. I think she could make it further than expected. Don't count her out! Projected finish (9th)
9. Rick & Emma - though the Former Governor of Texas was undoubtedly the worst dancer on the night, and he made several mistakes, his charisma is undeniable. I think his Ballroom might prove quite lovely, and I think he will survive this round...and possibly a few thereafter. Projected finish (8th)
10. Terra & Sasha - this reality television star did touch my heart with her drive and determination. However, the actual Jive was stompy and didn't have a great deal of finesse. She was over-marked, and I am just not sure she can make it much further - how, pray do tell, will she perform a Ballroom dance? Projected finish (12th)
11. Amber & Maks - I was hugely disappointed in the model and television host's performance. It was very stompy and lacked emotion - I felt her dance was worse than Maureen's and yet she received higher marks? I do, however, believe she will excel in Latin and could surprise us yet. Projected finish (7th)
12. Ryan & Cheryl - another disappointment from the Olympic swimmer. His Foxtrot lacked flow, and any swing and sway. It was fairly stompy, like Amber, and I don't think his public profile will help him - thus the low ranking. Projected finish (11th)
13. Jake & Jenna - and worst for me was the Disney Channel actor, who's Jive had several awkward moments and mishaps. I think he will fall by the way-side quick, and is my pick for the first to leave the Ballroom after the votes are counted next week. Projected finish (13th)

What do you all think of my initial thoughts / analysis?

What a horrible comment. She has never been given the chance on DWTS.
He's made similar statements about AJ on Strictly and many others, it seems the user is just trying to get a reaction
