Hi all,

I’m looking for advice regarding a small line that has suddenly appeared on my 40" LCD TV.

The line is approximately 15mm long and 1mm thick and 5 ½ inches from the bottom of the LCD and 9 ½ inches from the right.

Initially, it appeared to have some black and some turquoise pixels, but after a few hours appears to be mostly turquoise pixels and is more noticeable on lighter backgrounds.

The line appears on all sources and the LCD menu.

Is there anything that I can do to fix the problem or is it permanent?

Many thanks in advance.

Kind regards.

Sounds like a panel failing or failure - though someone like Nigel Goodwin will be able to confirm.

How old and what make is the set? If it is a panel failing and its under warranty, then fine, if not then you're probably looking at a new set.

I would agree, most likely a panel failure.
