How many on here have kids that actually work for a living to obtain their qualificat
my daughter is working overtime at the minute to fulfill her 'A' levels before going on to Uni, passing her driving test and being kind enough to take me on holiday with her hard earned money because she says mum, we need a holiday , (how proud can you be at that) ? 😄
my point is what have these kids on CB ever acheived to credit them with a celebrity status? Aggression, low morals, low intelligence and a lack of motivation to learne anything. The only reason I'm watching CB at the mo is to see very sporadically , the moments we get to see with the 'older celebs' having intelligent conversations that are interesting, and to hopefully see the young ones evicted, because they do not personify what the youth of today is, it's insulting to my daughter and her friends. she and her friends do not watch it they roll their eyes at it. |

I have three children all of whom have gone to university and worked hard to gain good degrees from a good university.
The two boys have good jobs and earn much more than I ever did or could and my daughter is about to finish this year and will leave with an M.A. They are good people which to me was the most important thing. These cretins are made celebrities by the people who buy the magazines and products they endorse the self same people who vote for these reprobates and thereby confirm to them that they're behaviour and lifestyle is acceptable. |

Forgive me I'm new to this posting malarkey but it's so good to see so many positive replies and so sad that these wanna be kids were made to think that they had no other option than to prostitute themselves On the media making a fool of themselves

Academia isn't for everyone and not everyone should be judged by it. I agree that the young 'celebs' in the house have a sense of entitlement that they haven't worked for.

I work with 1,500 16-18 year olds in a Sixth Form College and I can say all these kids work very hard studying for their A levels and not a lip filler in sight! Not all young people are like the TOWIE types, thank goodness.
@OP, your daughter sounds a credit to you

Well honestly - of course the majority of youngsters are hard working and have ambition. I can't believe the OP thought otherwise and thinks that her child is some sort of exception.
But those aren't the types we are likely to see on the telly - that would be dull. The ones we are seeing know what they are there for, it is to make entertainment in the way they have become accustomed. Don't expect anything better - it's the same every time. |

I've got two children and I am incredibly proud of both of them.
My daughter did her A Levels and then went to Agricultural College where she obtained a degree in Animal Management. She started her own dog grooming business, worked 7 days a week, and turned it into a really successful business. She is now married and had a baby girl on Christmas Day 2015. She is an amazing mother. My son did his A Levels, went to university and got a First Class Masters Degree with Honours in Civil Engineering. He designed a case for a micro computer and started his own business while he was in his final year at uni. When he left uni, he continued with the business and turned over just under £1m in his first year of trading. The business is now in in it's 5th year and has gone from strength to strength. He and his girlfriend have just had a baby girl. He is a brilliant father. I work with three young men, aged 26, 27 and 28. They all work very hard, all have a great sense of humour. All three are working hard and saving hard in order that they can afford to buy their own homes. All my son and daughters friends are intelligent, hard working, fun, polite and admirable people. The youngsters on CBB are definitely a breed of young person that I haven't come across and don't want to! |

My son, in his 50's has never been out of work and my daughter worked until she had her children. My grandsons are 24, 22, 20 and 18. The eldest has a Masters degree in History and will be starting his PHD next month. No 2 is currently doing a Masters in pure Mathematics, the third one is doing a degree in History and the youngest hopes to start Uni this year studying Economics. I am lucky to have such talented grand children and I am very proud of them. Not all youngsters have the mind-set of Bear and co who seem to feel that fame is the way forward. It wouldn't harm any of them to get a proper job.

I have one daughter who is a qualified chef, another who is working full time as a surveyor as well as studying for her Master of Science, and a son who has three A levels and works for a building research company.

You have actors and actresses of the same age who are on TV who are a credit to people in their age groups? Being vulgar/vomiting/talking dirty and picking on people isn't to be applauded, rather the opposite. |

The HUGE majority of teens-20s people are ambitious. What we see on TV is the minority.
I went to school, college and university (during uni I was balancing 2 jobs, one in uni as a promoter and 1 at home as a barman) and still managed to get a 2:1 and go out and have a good time 5 times a week. |

Being vulgar/vomiting/talking dirty and picking on people isn't to be applauded, rather the opposite. My comment was actually that the likes of the hard working, successful offspring that are the subject of this thread would make for boring telly - well that's a given, surely! BB - even in the early days - didn't opt for ordinary characters, they always looked for the extraordinary. Conflict, drama and outrageous behaviour is a requirement of the current format - it is never left to chance these days. I stopped watching a few series ago, but have had a quick look in over the last couple of days and found nothing has changed - or a slight change for the worse. This IS the show now - take it or leave it. |

Well... appearing on TV obviously.Being a celebrity isn't about having qualifications or passing driving tests.

No, it is about talent - something sadly lacking in them.
