Exactly, I wasn't able to take my exams and I have a learning disability in Maths. I suppose someone like me would be looked down upon by most in this thread.
I'm proud of you acid

binman I'd say without a doubt, one of the most important jobs in the country, milkman, less so, just go the shop or if you can't have water on your coco pops
Oi i'm an oldman I remember when milkmen were everywhere you look! Hence the phrase your child look likes the MILKMAN! They were rife!

If you're not a plonker, numpty, bell end, or muppet. Be proud no matter what.

I'm sure you're not those things's.

Not at all acid rain just because I am proud of my sons doesn't mean I look down on anyone.

Of course they are. No snobbery in my house. I live on a housing estate and only have one child with degrees. The other two have mediocre careers but great normal jobs. My brainy daughter is no snob either and her boyfriend is a postman - grand job! Keeps you fit 'an all!
Exactly. With very good jobs and plenty of brains. Snobbery doesn't have to follow. In fact any plonker can be a snobby git! I've known some. lol

success isn't all about degrees and fancy jobs.
just having common sense, self respect ,not being fame hungry and not looking like a fake barbie doll like a lot of my generation is something to be proud of.
A lot of members here seem to have children who have done very well for themselves. That's all good obviously. These high standards aren't the norm though.

But the milkman, binman whatever are all just as valuable. I'm sure their parents are just as proud.
Exactly. There are many that are living hard working productive lives that do not have a degree and many with a degree that have gone on to lead what many would consider wasted lives. Hopefully most will know that they are not judged on academic success alone, but for the most part on qualities not so easily measurable.

I'm quite sure you don't need a piece of paper to define who you are, and I'm equally sure that there are people in your life that bask in the reflected glory of just 'you' regardless of that piece of paper

Interestingly, Scotty T has a degree in engineering and Vicky and Nathan, both also from Geordie Shore, went to university.

Ryan from the latest BB also went to Uni, though it must have been a bit of backstreet one as he failed all his GCSEs

I work with 1,500 16-18 year olds in a Sixth Form College and I can say all these kids work very hard studying for their A levels and not a lip filler in sight! Not all young people are like the TOWIE types, thank goodness.

@OP, your daughter sounds a credit to you

Anyone of any 'intelligence' level and from any walk of life can still be a knob! That is for sure.

There are some educated reality stars - Vicky Pattison has a Drama degree from Liverpool University.

I hope they give them some kind of low level academic task like a spelling test or general knowledge.

my daughter is working overtime at the minute to fulfill her 'A' levels before going on to Uni, passing her driving test and being kind enough to take me on holiday with her hard earned money because she says mum, we need a holiday , (how proud can you be at that) ? 😄

my point is what have these kids on CB ever acheived to credit them with a celebrity status? Aggression, low morals, low intelligence and a lack of motivation to learne anything.

The only reason I'm watching CB at the mo is to see very sporadically , the moments we get to see with the 'older celebs' having intelligent conversations that are interesting, and to hopefully see the young ones evicted, because they do not personify what the youth of today is, it's insulting to my daughter and her friends. she and her friends do not watch it they roll their eyes at it.
All our family and relatives studied and worked for professions, trades, etc. none of this nonsense with any of them
