What that poster is saying is that paedophiles often try to latch themselves onto LGBT issues. NAMBLA are often seen at gay pride parades for example.

And un-PC though this may sound if you look at the issue objectively there is a higher rate of paedophilia amongst gay people proportionately speaking. This is an undeniable fact, Tatchell is not alone in this manner.

Yes it is. Of course it is, that's what I was pointing out. The 'we shall see' means none of us knows what was said. It's just speculation if we never know what's been said.

Do you have a link to show the research please? I could have sworn i read somewhere that this is not the case. (obviously discounting that until recently the age of consent was different, and therefore a relationship with a seventeen year old was called abuse)

That's a thing, you don't hear about anyone receiving warnings on IAC, that doesn't mean that everyone is always well behaved. I know that you can't drink on IAC for obvious reasons.

By 'folk like him' I mean those who would like the age of consent lowered and/or have publicly praised child-adult sex relations in tha past (in whatever media, but in this case I mean - very notoriously - the national press). He says he's gay, so why on earth was he always banging on about sexual relations with children? Don't you ask yourself such basic questions?

I'm talking about paedophile apologists attaching themselves to the LBGT movement (as he has done from the start) in order to get their own agenda more accepted.

I said nothing about gay people being more likely to be anything more negative than any other souls. I simply warned about 'dubious' 'spokespeople' using the movement to possibly try to further different, utterly abhorrent, agendas, that I'm certain anyone normal of any sexuality would find absolutely disgusting beyond belief.

Thanks, but it looks like homophobic claptrap and i cant get past the bit that says "However, overwhelming evidence supports the belief that homosexuality is a sexual deviancy"

Paedophilia, WTF????

Did Christopher Biggins molest a child on the show? Cos I think that would be a new low, even for C5.

It's a Christian "ex-gay" outfit.

No, a poster mentioned Peter Tatchell as (I think) a voice of the LGBT community, so I pointed out that he defended or possibly even argued for child-adult sexual relations in the 80s, and as of a couple of years ago (no time to waste with folks like him these days) was still arguing for a reduction in the age of consent.

If you want the thread to get back to only Christopher Biggins, try talking about Christopher Biggins

No. Somebody unwittingly brought up a known paedophile activist (Peter Tatchell) without being aware of his background.

I did, I asked if he'd molested a child on BB. It seems he didn't so that's okay then.

If CBB is still in the 'Reality' category next year, instead of 'Scripted Reality'

As with most of these shows, someone needs to tell the producers "Your manipulation's showing, hon".

I am glad it went off topic if it made us aware of his revolting ideas.

In the sense that they are an oppressed group of people yes. Numerically obviously, no.

Of course it does. It tolerates it all the time depending on who it is.

Never heard of this university. It seems unlikely that any respected Academic institution would Say things like this.

Personally, I think the age of consent should be increased to 18 which is in line with the legal drinking age. But that's for another thread

I am absolutely furious.

They throw out someone like Biggins for having an opinion on something but leave in Violent disgusting psychos like Bear.

What happened to freedom of speech?

I don't care what he's said. Its Biggins opinion and he's entitled to have it without being oppressed

The double standards here are appalling.

In a series saturated with structured reality wannabes, you've gone and thrown one of the only 'CELEBRITIES' out of the CELEBRITY Big brother house

WORST decision you've ever made

Ive wanted Biggins on CBB for years. Its a travesty his stint has ended because someone at CH5 wanted to silence his opinions
