This makes sense to me, contract for 8 days, thinking people would tune in to see him. First task was his, swear he knew that the others knew about task, make the odd sexist comment excuse to kick him out. Job done, viewing figures higher than usual tonight.

Are you three serious?! This is a racist man who has just made a disgustingly anti-Semitic remark to a Jewish woman, and you're moaning that the producers were "too sensitive"? There is potential for this remark to be seen as a hate crime and for the police to become involved. Tossing a mug at a mirror is a bit different to offending the Jewish community with a racist joke.

Biggins' career is well and truly over.

Heavy D and Bear have said some really crude, inappropriate and cringy things about girls (mostly bantering with each other, causing no harm to any other housemates).. do you really think that is worse than joking about nazi and the concentration camps? If so then you have a very different and warped view of unacceptable behaviour.

And so, the conspiracy theorists start their theorizing! Perhaps Biggins really WAS a member of the illuminati after all!! Bear had it right all along!!

Tossing a mug is actual violence, telling an offensive joke isn't. Not that I approve of offensive jokes about Jewish people, but it shouldn't be a reason to boot him out.

My guess is that he made some non-pc remarks during his 3 week stay in the jungle but they chose not to air them. Didn't fit their AntandDec style show.

Yes it should if it's bad enough.

About time. I can't believe it took them this long, after his bi-phobic comments the other day.

Give someone enough rope and they will hang themselves. No need for removals and final warnings.”

Precisely, and in the outside world too. Whatever happened to free speech.

Obviously, what he thinks about bi-sexuality is from his experience and peer group and IS his opinion. The female remark was very crass, crude and ignorant and showed him up, but neither were controversial, as they were only 'his' opinions.

So possibly a very off racist comment - who knows. (shrug)

Comments made Monday. SP why wait until 7pm this evening?

I'm sure someone has mentioned it, but if Biggins have been removed for offensive language, than surely Bear should have been removed also for violent conduct?

CBB trying to get rid of the older housemates and let the younger kids rule the house.

Don't you think you ought to wait and find out what was said before you label it "a disgusting racist hate-crime" ?

Of course they do, especially being a celeb & saying it in public! If this is the case, Biggins has well & truly screwed up.

But we do know that it was a "joke about concentration camps" said to Katie Waissel, who is a Jewish housemate, and that she was left in tears by his remarks. They were obviously offensive.

Tossing a mug at in inanimate object doesn't hurt or offend anybody. Making offensive remarks about Jews is obviously going to offend Jews and also many people in the wider population. Of course it should be a reason to boot him out- those remarks are insulting and hateful and racist to a minority group.

As Ricky said to Heavy D: "Words can kill".

No of course we shouldn't wait. The man possibly made a joke about Jews, we should immediately be checking his basement for Nazi memorabilia and preparing a court hearing for hate crimes.

Sorry Cah , I must have missed it or I'd have quoted you and agreed .
Nah , I'm not buying what they're trying to sell me . Biggins is too savvy to make such a fatal career error , unless it was deliberate as an escape plan .
Oh well, more original than digging a tunnel to get away from that lot of idiots I suppose .

Maybe not to you, or to some. I mean, we all have our own ideas of what is offensive. But I assume many members of the Jewish community would be offended by it.

I agree about Bear and the other incidents that have occurred, also. Unfortunately, this is BB who needs to get their act together about being fair.

There's a difference between "free speech" and racism, or disgustingly offensive remarks designed to insult, demean and provoke a reaction or upset a community.

I think the response on here would be very different if, for instance, Bear had made a homophobic remark to Biggins.
