I'll happily do that & let this be my last post on this thread, but I'd like to bet another one will still spring up in the next couple of days!!

They can just be told to come here instead to discuss their dislike of Sean.

Did you see that tonight - it was horrific. My favourite was when he was in Steve's arms - pretending to cry...

Seriously, it isn't funny anymore and those people sticking up for those starting threads......

Perhaps the actors union must be brought in against Coronation Street. Money for old rope

And good grief I thought tonight's Corrie would never end. So much whining and self pitying from a 40--something year old man having a tantrum. He also has no right whatsoever to claim ownership of Eileen's house when he is just a lodger and Todd is Eileen's son and hasn't done anything wrong.”

The self pitying, whining creature is 50+, which makes it even more pathetic.

Well, there are certainly more that agree with me than with you.

I await an honest opinion from you about last night "performance" with eager anticipation.

I will be more than happy to confine my complaints about Cotton to this thread, I can see it becoming one of the most popular in this Forum.

For your information, I do not start a new thread on Cotton every day, in fact if you check back I think you will find that I have only created one thread on him since I have been here.

If I ever do write my memoirs, they certainly won't contain anything about someone who should be charged with crimes against the acting profession.

As I have pushed for you to keep to one thread, I will happily not even look at it if you all stick to it

the mods moderate reactively not pro actively and so unless they are alerted they are probably not aware there is a problem. there is a problem it is spoiling the forum

I never said it was you starting a thread a day!

I am going to watch this morn, I will come back and say and then will leave you all to your Sean thread

"Sweet Chocolate" accused us both of creating threads about him everyday...

The last thread I made about him was dated on the 29th of July, so maybe he can tell us what he means by "every day"?

Another insipid performance from an uninspiring person - who continues to be handsomely paid and blindly supported despite the rubbish he churns out in episode after episode.

Kind of reminiscent of certain aspects of the current political scene.

Walter SULLA is entitled to his opinion regardless of whether or not more people agree with you or not.

I don't like Sean but at least respect other people's views

Sean had his heart torn out, was disrespected by his surrogate family and had to witness a daily humiliation from Todd and Billy.

But all Anthony could manage was a screwed up face and a whimpering voice. No tears of rage, torment or desolution. I did not feel any emotional connection with Sean's plight.

That guy has been written a plum part that offers him a whole range of emotions. It's the equivalent of King Lear in a soap setting - can Anthony's acting cope - not from last night's effort.

I think Antony Cotton would do very well in some other TV role, maybe as a presenter. He has a personality there that we just dont get to see in the acting. That is the issue, he tries to communicate with his audience as himself, not as Sean. He probably needs to do a Strictly or somesuch while he is still half famous, and then network with some daytime TV producers to get some presenting work.

LOL I can't say I disagree but some people are going to blow a fuse when they see yet another AC thread.

He doesn't do high emotion well, but I thought he was ok in the quieter scenes - at the church and at Eileen's with Phelan. He is written terribly - so self-centred and sneery; that line about table service and The Ivy

Eileen is crap at very emotional stuff too.

They tried to give him his own show years ago and it was disaster...

However, if it would get him off CS I'd "watch" AC's daytime TV show... With the sound turned down, while I'm working in my study, which is two rooms away from the TV.

I thought the scene with Eileen and Sean at the back of the houses was good, he looked broken.

Why? he doesn't respect ours, and blindly praises everything he does.

The stuff with Phelan was the only reasonable Sean scenes in the episodes and that was purely because the guy who plays Phelan is great...

The look of complete bemusment on Phelans face as he "played" Sean was brilliant. It's like he's nodding and winking at the audiance as he makes Sean's life a misery!

God forbid that he ever does Strictly, he would be even more unbearable than Peter Andre.

Andre went a long way... I suspect AC would be off in the first 2-3 weeks.

I'm not arguing with the complaints against Sean, I agree he was atrocious tonight, but ffs this must , like I say be six or seven practically identical threads in the space of a week!!”

Why do I need to read the forum rules? The forum rules are useless if they are not implemented and they won't be if no-one brings the to the attention of the mods. Why don't you and/or your mate tell the mods?

Continuous and repetitive?! What about the dissenters? The Sean threads continue and the same FMs continue to moan and bitch. Why? Why not just report these terrible threads? There are a handful of bitchers, whingers and moaners who love to do just that about the existence of these threads and if the threads were closed, their fun would end because that's all this is about. They love another Sean thread just so they can carry on and on about there being another Sean thread and to have a go at other FMs.

If the dissenters are so mad about the Sean threads then they should report the thread/s. If the mods close the thread/s; problem solved for them. If they don't then put up or shut up. Maybe the thread/s have been reported but at the present time it is still open

I'm sorry if this sounds rude but quoting the forums rules and then not taking any action is cretinous.

FMs do get obsessive about particular aspects of soaps, don't they?

And like the other dissenters, you'd be duty bound not to follow the rules you referred to but to keep posting on the new thread!

After last night's performance, Sean needed a thread. He was the worst I've ever seen him and there was so much of it! It wasn't just the acting, it was also the writing and the direction. Don't know how the actors who play Eileen, Todd and Phelan kept their faces straight though. Corrie couldn't seem to decide if he was really upset or it was meant to be funny.
