Something Grant said was strange...

Did anyone notice, during Grant's interview, that he was speaking about Biggins as if he was still in house? Emma asked him something about other housemates (who were leaders?) and he said something about Biggins holding court and implying that he'd do well in the series. And then Emma said quickly, 'But now that Biggins is out...' What was that about?

Yes, I mentioned this in another thread. It was strange. It made me wonder if Grant had been evicted before the removal of Biggins, but that would throw the whole time thing out surely?

I think they thought he'd gone to a secret room or something so I read on another thread.

The thought crossed my mind that Grant thought Biggins' exit was a spoiler as it had only happened that day.

It still doesn't explain why Grant had to be reminded he'd been removed.

Maybe they were still trying to prise his ego out the door .....

Grant was on the tv this morning saying biggins went into the diary room on friday on his own accord and 20 minutes later bb made an announcement that he had been ejected.

I feel biggins made these comments earlier in the week and bb probably asked him to clarify what he meant, perhaps he couldnt so was ejected.

I thought it was odd. The only explanation I can come up with is that perhaps he was told not to mentioned what Biggins had done or said, and thought he had to pretend he was still in the house. Who knows!

What it implies is that the HMs are closely told by BB what they can and cannot say and in this case Grant wasnt sure what he could and coudnt say. Grant dosnt seem the sharpest tool in the box so Emma was firestorming him before he made it worse.

Yes, that sound plausible. You gotta laugh at the term 'reality' show. What a misnomer. Scripted to buggery.

Yes, I too reckon that Emma or the producers hastily told Grant before the interview that he shouldn't talk about Biggins being evicted, and he possibly took that to mean he should act as if Biggins is still in. I took another look at the convo and here's what was said:

Emma: Do you feel there is one person who's in charge of that house?
Grant: Um..Biggins is in control of the house. I mean everyone looks up to him, whether the younger set or the older set, but he holds court - you must have seen that.
Emma: And now that he's not there, who do you think will take that place?

Looking that way isn't it. But why?? It doesn't make sense.

I think it was right at the end of the eviction show (rather than the late night LF) that I caught someone - Aubrey?? - saying, "I hope he's in a second house...."

Anyone else remember that?

Yes I heard that, maybe the housemates have not been told he has been removed and won't be returning.

It was in the livefeed.

I suspect they'd been told but weren't quite convinced he'd gone.

Thanks, I wasn't quite sure of the context.

Or maybe the HMs hadn't been told at that point that Biggins would not be returning & thought he was on a task somewhere or that he had been let out temporarily (past CBB HMs have been let out for various work commitments, even beauty treatments, but BB has been very coy about that) or that he was in the spare room like Bear had been previously for bad behaviour. In fact, that would make sense - Biggins says something unacceptable which upsets another HM (or several) & is called to the Diary Room. He doesn't reappear but no announcement is made, so the others fully expect that he will be returned in the morning as had happened the previous day.

Which if the hms think Biggins hasnt really been evicted suggests they dont see any real basis for his removal - if he had said something so irrefutably bad and worthy of removal there would be no room for this uncertainty.
I saw audreys comment on live feed as well.

I'm thinking of BB14 when BB told the HMs that Daley had been chucked. Several of them laughed and simply refused to believe it, initially at least. It's not as if BB never ever lies to HMs.

Yes it was on Live Feed:
Saira: What a day
Lewis: The main thing is Biggins
Aubrey: I hope he's in a 2nd house somewhere
Lewis: I hope that

That appalling supposed 'transcript' that was on here that so many gullible people believed was instantly shown to be a fake because if anything like that had happened the whole house would have known about it and not been wishing he was in a secret house.

This makes sense. But it's still odd that Grant wasn't told explicitly what had happened with Biggins before he was interviewed. Some kind of communication problem here?

I know, I don't get that. Still, it's got everyone talking and surmising hasn't it! We'll probably get a patronising, sanctimonious telling off for believing online gossip from Rylan on his Sunday show, knowing full well they've fuelled the gossip in the first place.

I think because it only happened a few hours prior, Grant probably thought we didn't know and didn't want to be the person who leaked it.

It could be that many of the HMs had convinced themselves he was 'in a secret house'.
If he went to the diary room of his own volition and didn't come back it's very plausible if BB had not given them a full explanation.
