So what's the best 5 a month deal out there?

I know giff gaff do 125 mins and 100 meg, but is there anything out there with minutes? Data isn't needed on this phone as it is a 'dumb' phone.

A little over your budget but Life Mobile offer 1000mins, 5000 Texts and 1.5GB Data for £5.95 a month if taken via Uswitch

https://www.uswitch.com/mobiles/netw...im_only_deals/

or within your budget Life Mobile also offer 600 Mins, 5000 Texts and 500mb Data for £4.95 / month (further down on the same link)

Life runs on the EE Network and only gives 3G Data, - but this won't be important to you anyway if you only use for calls.

600 mins a month would be more than enough, I think 125 would be, but I'm not sure and I want her to be able to call pretty much at will.

Actually I do think the phone has a very basic browser, but it might only be 2G, certainly not more than 3G.

Thank you

I recommend the Life Mobile £4-95 deal too as the 600 minutes is a true 600 minutes and not like other networks were 5, 10, 15 seconds etc, etc is rounded up to a full minute. So a ten second call cost you 10 seconds if you know what I mean and not one minute.

Go for Life Mobile on the £5.95 tariff as others have said, its slightly over yet allows more minutes and texts. Additionally Life Mobile also comes with a spend cap so can't run up a bill, I believe the default is £5 (well mine is).

Should the person whom this is for get a new phone in the future, they will at least have some data to use if they wanted to.
