He will make money out of this show and afterwards and I don't really care If I see Bear again after this show. For me he is carrying the show, but that's just my opinion.

I didn't have the pleasure of watching Marc or Helen.

I agree, they'll make a few grand from PAs showing up for muppets in nightclubs but it doesn't change the point I was making.

I see a hell of a lot of supressed anger in that lad and frankly. an underlying nastiness. He seems to have no conscience whatsoever or interest in anyone else. When he talks to Saira now he's very different which, to me, shows he is all things to all people and is good at masking his true nature. But then I'm not a psychologist so what do I know!

I have seen a few good moments from him though, Heavy has invaded his personal space 2 times and has shown aggression towards him. Both times Bear didnt retaliate, he took himself away from all of the housemates and he threw a mug. Not great behaviour and he should of kept his coo but IMO spitting in someones food is much worse. Renee generally seems to hold him in a high regard as does Lewis and Marnie. Marnie didnt like him before they entered so it seems like there is something likeable about him.

I know what you mean - I'm damn sure he has something likeable about him! He knows how to play people and get his way in life. And he has the idea that he's the alpha male in the house and persuades some of the others to think that too. One of them said it was like walking on egg shells around him. They're quite scared of him. And Heavy (who is pretty dumb and easy going) felt he had good reason to 'get in his face.' And I think Renee has now seen through him (after apparently fancying him!!) and is not a fan I think! I'm not even sure Marnie likes him but seems anxious to keep on his good side.

Lets face it, not many of them will be mates with eachother on the outside. I do enjoy Bear and Sairas relationship though. She seems to have really warmed to him, I do think its a very love hate relationship though.

A lot of people live a lifestyle of selfishness. Especially true for these reality show circuit types. This means for a lot of them, they develop no conscience or have very little conscience. I think this is what happens.

My question being 'Is bear actually this obnoxious in real life?'

The answer. No hes not. In fact Steve is a lot more Bearable ('scuse the pun)

For sure, he has an ego bigger than my other halfs y-fronts, but then so do most young 'pretty boys' (using the term pretty very loosely)

I am convinced this arrogant thug 'act' is simply that. A character.
Sadly he has chosen to be remembered as a tosser, a panto villain, Instead of a likeable person, which Stevie boy actually is.

I am glad I looked into the true personality of Steve. I no longer feel the need to slam my foot through the TV when I see his face. (which is a feat in itself seeing as my TV is high up on the wall)

Of course I won't vote to save him, but I've given him slack, which has helped me stay tuned in to this dire CBB series... rather than walk away and watch something interesting - like paint dry.”

Ask Vicky Pattison, she will tell you Bear is EXACTLY the same "in real life" as he's on the TV.

Who cares about Vicky Pattison? She is a complete fake herself, went from a raging spitter on GS to a wannabe nun on IAC. Have you seen the amount of blokes she has had? They always seem to get the bad name, maybe its just her?

The reason Bear didn't retaliate was because Heavy D is likely to do some damage if it came to fistycuffs.
Renee initially fancied him, she has since moved on and now views him without her judgement being clouded by lust.
Lewis is a moron. Marnie has said that Bear is basically a psycho, but she (like Chloe) seems to be attracted to 'bad boys', so she would probably want to keep him onside in case Lewis gets bored of her.

As for the original thread topic, all I have seen from you (post wise) is praise of bear and you saying that "we are all like Bear" or words to that effect.

Personally Bear is not someone that I would want anywhere near me, he has a very negative and aggressive air about him.
His eyes seem to dart about in an unnerving way, probably weighing up which of the objects around him would make the best weapon.

I wouldn't go as far as villain ,more like a wide boy ! A villain wouldn't have recoiled like bear did when that security guard came through the door , he bricked it - no a villain wouldn't have stepped back like that , a child would though !

I found that moment comical, it was just sheer shock on his face at the size at that bloke. I think anyone would of shit themselves, remember that bear was drunk aswell.

He's a nightmare for sure and enjoys irritating people but I think one on one I'd get on with him fine. He's acted a tit and done some ridiculous shit since being in there - maybe he is like that in real life - but I think behavior like that is usually a front. He's probably got issues and the big-balls character is the result. He might just be a ****** though.
