I would imagine Aubrey's spittle tasted very bad too.

A chap got booted off Big Brother once for simply doing that once at another person. Dennis in 2008.

Ejecting someone out of the Big Brother house for words/beliefs/thoughts spoken is a farce. As pointed out numerous times before they don't even have to show it since they've already removed live feeds from the experience and so obviously there is other agendas at play.

Seriously? They kicked him out for that? This is political correctness gone insane. Anyone who was offended by what he said needs to get out more. What a load of pony

But the big question is....are you now never going to watch Big Brother? after all, they makes the rules and choose to do what they want

He was costing them a fortune to appear - £150,000 apparently, making him the most expensive housemate by a distance. Now it is being reported tonight that he will not be receiving his fee at all. Mmmm, what a convenient way of reneging on payment of a large sum. Will Biggins just accept that? Could get interesting.

Yeah, i just said something similar in another thread regarding the money issue. I would agree with you on that.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. But when HIV first hit the headlines, wasn't the gay community held mostly responsible for the spread of the infection?

Of course drug addicts too, but to a lesser extent.

I can see where Biggins was coming from in his opinion. I don't necessarily concur with that opinion, but I do think he had the right to express it.

Renee was in on the conversation too and she contributed just as much. Why hasn't she been removed?

Yet the loathsome Bear is swanning around like cock of the North.

Weird

A little dramatic licence is permitted surely? Be dull if it wasn't!

Was Biggins ejected for telling lies?

It's generally accepted that Aids started in Africa.

Big Brother have kind of acted like a kangaroo court when you think of it. Did he not have the right to defend himself, and maybe even ask others to defend him who were in on that conversation? No, somebody, or a couple of people watching on a monitor just made an arbitrary decision and that was that. Please don't go telling me they consulted with their lawyers before choosing to force him out on a flimsy premise.

He made a comment about concentration camps to Katie. He has done an interview in the Sun.

It makes no difference that he had a right to say those words. The rules aren't that you're allowed to say offensive things so long as you have a right to say them.

That doesn't matter either.

C5 doesn't have a free choice about what's allowed. There's a broadcasting code, administered by Ofcom, that C5 has to follow as a condition of C5's broadcasting licence. They can't just allow people to say potentially offensive things on the grounds that it's their view or that they have a right to say those things.

Do you want them to hide everything offensive that happens?

That seems to be what you're suggesting as an alternative.

I'd be surprised if that was the real reason he was booted out.

FAR worse has been said and done on Big Brother over the years without BB intervening.

Didn't a certain lady call a house mate a murderer and a rapist or something last year? She was not ejected.

No, whatever got Biggins thrown out was not broadcast. (IMO)

It's subjective what is offensive and what is not. I don't find anything said as offensive for example. I doubt i'll ever be truly offended by anything said in Big Brother.

To deem it inappropriate and offensive and then show it goes against the very principle. It will offend and upset people but here you go, be offended and upset.

They're saying this is going to be so offensive to people that we have to take action because people will be offended and upset and they're then showing it to people for them to be offended and upset. It's absurd.

I would prefer they show it, allow people the freedom to make up their own minds if they're offended or not or how they feel about it and everyone to move on with their life. The problem comes in with showing it + removing someone over it.

I'm guessing it's what he said to Katie that's in his interview in the paper which allegedly he's confessed to.

It was very insensitive, so I would assume that is the real reason.

Yes indeed. I have just been reading the Sun article linked in another thread.

That was definitely more like the real reason.

If it was then why no straightforward honesty on the show tonight JC?

They supposedly showed viewers the reasons for his ejection. If this is not fully the case then they are being wholly deceptive and also treating people like fools. What's wrong with a straight explanation?

I suppose. After all, there's not much drama on the forum lately.

They copped out the cowards. If they didn't want to show it they could have just done an Alexander O'Neal job on Biggins. Enters the DR never to be seen again. No explanation, nothing.

The so called 'joke' happened last Monday apparently and it wasn't shown on Tuesday's show. Methinks they were just looking for another reason to boot him out, and the Aids conversation gave them their chance.

Yes, an explanation (of the truth) would have sufficed if they deemed the footage too traumatic for our senses, but to project what we saw tonight as the real reason was akin to treating the viewers as idiots.

Nothing new for C5 though.

Spreading something widely is one thing, but he was referring to the starting point in the US, ie Patient Zero for the US.

Perfectly put JC.

Channel 5 have trashed this show in the past 2 years. I don't want to see some of the desperate low rent types being put on a pedestal like this. The likes of Bear need to return back to the anonymity they came from.

The CBB production team is trying to balance putting on a cutting edge, controversial show with being the biggest SJWs in television. It's going to look messy.

This is why we see them scything down Biggins - a gay man - for making a series of comments against bisexuals, but it's okay for Bear to smash a mirror, because Gaz and Scotty do much worse on Geordie Shore.

Messy, and will continue to be so, I guess.
