what biggins said was the truth, far too many people still think hiv is a gay disease and they wont get it, the fact is staights and bisexuals are the ones that are spreading it faster around the world as they think they wont get it or dont have it.
HIV/AIDS is NOT a gay disease, anyone can get it to say that bisexuals are not at fault is wrong and for biggins to be thrown out for telling the truth is wrong., there is much more worse stuff thats been said and done in the house yet nothing is done about it |

Yes for the simple reason he knew the rules when signing up and despite 3 chances kept breaking them.

He shouldn't be too worried, participants being thrown off the show for the odd dodgy remark or view has been a staple ingredient of Big Brother since it started.

Bollocks. He said bisexuals were responsible for bringing aids back from Africa

I didnt get the impression that he was actually blaming bisexual people, just saying how he thought it spread.

Well I'm not stupid but the comments Biggins made gave me the impression that he was blaming it on bisexuals especially after his previous comments about bisexuals

I was meaning that surely even Biggins couldn't be stupid enough to think that, but maybe he could?

Even the stupidest of people must see that nobody can be blamed for spreading a disease nobody knew existed? i just dont get all the people defending bisexuals saying they not to blame, of course they are to blame how else can you explain why so many so called straight couples have hiv now if its only a gay disease. at some point a man has had sex with a woman so that makes him bisexual and it has spread from there |

Frankly, if the show's producers were genuinely concerned about his comments causing offence, then they should not have brodcast them. It's yet another example of the usual double standards we see from these moronic producers.
Of course, you get a person behaving violently, scaring people and damaging property and yet he is told that if he does it again he "may" be removed. At the end of the day, Biggins wasn't the producer's golden goose, so they slit his neck and feasted on his reputation. |

There is a world of difference between saying it was a method of transmission, and using the word "blame" as if it was intentional. |

As we weren't shown the "joke" he said or seen anyone in the house saying how it upset them, then it seems pretty pointless removing him. Seems like they've managed to drum up a whole lot of interest from those who never watch big brother.

Still gobsmacked that Bear gets away with murder but Biggins postulates a popular questionable theory and he gets booted out. What is this world coming to? Sack the work experience producers I say.

Ultimately, I just cannot get on board with the concept of bisexuals being a marginalised and put upon group. I know some gay people do talk negatively about bisexuality, but I'm having a very, very hard time picturing a bisexual person being victimised by any gay person because of their sexuality.
There are gay people who are prejudiced |

Actually, I think you'll find that there is.
I didn't find anything he said offensive. I have found a great deal offensive however, and nothing has been done about that!!! It makes me very angry. Food contamination, violence, vandalism, threatening behaviour, thuggery is all fine, and yet voice an opinion and you're out?? Makes no sense whatsoever. And finally... I don't think he hates bisexuals at all. He hasn't said that once. He just doesn't understand it. And that's fine. There are a lot of things I don't understand (such as the behaviours I mention above for instance) ... am I not allowed to voice it? Free speech, my *rse. ![]()

His exact words were: "I think it was a bisexual disease" and that they "had sex with 'those' people and brought it home to their families".
How in the name of sweet fanny f**king adams is he NOT blaming bisexuals? |

Because he was stating his opinion on how it spread. Not Saying that they shouldn't have had sex with "those" people, and that it was all their fault.

I just don't believe he should have been evicted based on what we saw.
Here is a man who has 'lived through' the events he is describing. That is how he reflects on what happens. He is a gay man and although what he said was aimed towards bisexuals; the whole closeted situation of a lot of young men at that time contributed to this disease being solely attributed to it being thought of as a 'gay disease' evolving into the stereotypes that gays are dirty, sexually promiscuous and disease ridden. Although his 'understanding' is obviously nowhere near the whole explanation, it is part of the explanation. I don't think he should have labelled it 'the bisexuals' as I don't believe many of the people involved were bisexual rather than gay men in the closet or a mixture of both. I feel the reason he got chucked out though is due to him being an 'educated' white man with a whiff of superiority/snobbishness about him. When he says things like 'they went over *there* and slept with *those* people'. It doesn't read particularly well and could be misconstrued like an attack. It should have been a conversation meaning, the other housemates shouldn't be any less accountable as they were in it/participating but looked 'up' to Biggins as he 'lived it'. What Renee was talking about was just as controversial. |

It's the way people say things and blessed on what we heard and the way it was said, nothing offensive particularly in the manner it was said. Nothing that hasn't been said for years. The other housemates were shocked.Biggins looked saddened.
No he shouldn't have been asked to leave. Should people be asked to leave for having an opinion and what he said about HIV been primarily in the gay community is correct and it also follows logically that bisexual people spread it so pregnant women started giving birth to babies with HIV. Not rocket science. No he should not have been forced to leave! You can see how wary even people like Frankie and Ricky and Sam are now with that horrible dominant bullying group. They don't all get on but Bear Bear and Bear Big D and Big D Lewis Marnie and Chloe! Every other action in the house has been provoked by one or all of those! |
