I just don't believe he should have been evicted based on what we saw.
Here is a man who has 'lived through' the events he is describing. That is how he reflects on what happens. He is a gay man and although what he said was aimed towards bisexuals; the whole closeted situation of a lot of young men at that time contributed to this disease being solely attributed to it being thought of as a 'gay disease' evolving into the stereotypes that gays are dirty, sexually promiscuous and disease ridden. Although his 'understanding' is obviously nowhere near the whole explanation, it is part of the explanation. I don't think he should have labelled it 'the bisexuals' as I don't believe many of the people involved were bisexual rather than gay men in the closet or a mixture of both. I feel the reason he got chucked out though is due to him being an 'educated' white man with a whiff of superiority/snobbishness about him. When he says things like 'they went over *there* and slept with *those* people'. It doesn't read particularly well and could be misconstrued like an attack. It should have been a conversation meaning, the other housemates shouldn't be any less accountable as they were in it/participating but looked 'up' to Biggins as he 'lived it'. What Renee was talking about was just as controversial. |

It's the way people say things and blessed on what we heard and the way it was said, nothing offensive particularly in the manner it was said. Nothing that hasn't been said for years. The other housemates were shocked.Biggins looked saddened.
No he shouldn't have been asked to leave. Should people be asked to leave for having an opinion and what he said about HIV been primarily in the gay community is correct and it also follows logically that bisexual people spread it so pregnant women started giving birth to babies with HIV. Not rocket science. No he should not have been forced to leave! You can see how wary even people like Frankie and Ricky and Sam are now with that horrible dominant bullying group. They don't all get on but Bear Bear and Bear Big D and Big D Lewis Marnie and Chloe! Every other action in the house has been provoked by one or all of those! |

Have none of you read the transcripts of what he is supposed to have said about black people and the remarks about jews and concentration camps? Although today channel 5 has said they are fake, so who knows?

No good guessing imo. I have no doubt Biggins said something to offend Katie but I'm not certain the transcript that was posted on here is the real deal.

Having read Biggins exclusive interview, in which he admits to what he said and more he had to go. You cant make Nazi gags on TV, especially with the rise of anti-Semitic attacks in the UK.

I am surprised he would make any comment in jest of that nature.

I went with other as I don't really feel strongly either way and we also didn't get the full story. From what we saw I wasn't hurt or offended (I'm bi), I just found him rather ignorant. I would rather they let him stay and he hang himself with his own rope, but he knew the rules and was given warnings so I don't exactly feel sorry for him.

Too bad we can't go back and change our vote. Channel 5 are clearly covering up the real reason Biggins was removed.
People are voting on at best incomplete and at worst false information. Personally, I think what Biggins said was much more damaging than what we were shown. Why won't they let the viewers get the real picture? It's the only way they'll stop all the speculation and conspiracy theories. But I guess C5 don't care about that, they've thrown us a crumb, and even though it doesn't make any sense, that's what the lawyers told them to do and we, the public can lump it. |

This was a complete setup by the producers to get publicity.
THEY chose to air the bisexual comments to create a controversy that really wasn't there. It's what THEY do. They need to fill an hour of TV with drama. They're clearly struggling to find anything outside of The Bear Show In Bear they have their Perez/Speidi/Farrah but they might have learnt that we get bored of a house villain being centre stage at all times so Biggins ill-informed comments gave them an opportunity to create a sub-plot drama to gain more column inches. Had they chosen not to air his stupid remarks they'd be faced with filling another 10 minutes with more shots of Bear sulking or chewing Chloe's face off. I'm just surprised they didn't speak to Renee about her claim that someone in the CIA told her that they created the AIDS virus to control 3rd world populations. That controversial and possibly slanderous statement was the catalyst for Biggins exit. |

ETA- and you're right of course, if the reason was the bisexual slurs, Renee would also have had to do the walk of shame. The fact she's still in there just proves Channel 5 are trying to fob us off with a stinky bill of goods. |

Biggins must have done something the public would never put up with. Look at the amount of shit the producers are willing to swallow from Nobody Bear. Biggins is a much bigger player, and has infinitely bigger contacts and supporters. |

But we don't know what Biggins actually said. Unless you believe C5's bullshit. Which leaves the question, why is Renee still in?

I think he had to be, he had a very negative view of bisexuals and unfortunately because most of society isn't well informed on the issue, his views would very easily influence others. Bisexuals aren't seen in the same was a homosexuals or ethnic minorities, people wont stick up for them, they are a very fragile group and comments like that would only ostracise them even more

Bear was given one warning. Biggins got 3 previous warnings
No, the BB man (with the lovely Irish accent) in the DR said the other night that they had given several warnings to Bear over the previous nights due to his behaviour. We just don't get to see the warnings. We need to see everything BB. Grrrr.
