Because there isn't a massive 'bisexual community' there's still loads of hate and misconception surrounding it.

You change the word bisexual to black or gay and people would give off, it wast as though he hadn't already done it and he'd obviously been warned before so for continued hatred he deserved to go.

People defending him, saying its freedom of speech are either deluded or stupid.

I'm neither deluded or stupid I just prefer to let stupid people with stupid views to continue to look rediculous. It's just a shame there was nobody with the intelligence or gumption in there to really take him to task. In no time at all his arguments could have been shot down.... That's all we need to do with such people,

i totally agree with OP..

And they obviously didn't show all of the offensive things he said because the conversations with other housemates have been shortened. He didn't say it was his opinions either about bisexuals. He told the other housemates like it was a truth regarding bisexuals. Highly offensive, highly against BB rules.

It's freedom of speech.
Change the word to toycar or rabbit and it will still be a silly conspiracy theory. Change the word to whatever you want and it's still freedom of speech. Ban people from saying words all you like, they will still think it though. To be against free speech, however repellent it may or may not be, is to be against freedom.

People are defending it because we are only being given part of the story.

This is true, i've noticed over time people only defend this sort of thing when it doesn't directly affect them or if it's not a fashionable stance to take at this moment, for instance if statements were made against 'blacks' you would see alot more support for the removal of biggins and not so much support had the comments been about let's say asians.. Having said that it's hard to truly condemn Biggins without knowing fully what had been said on monday in regards to his conversation with Katie but that's the unfortunate thing about ch5 these days they show us what they want us to see..

Also there's a part of me wondering if the only reason they left it till tonight to show his removal and not last week is viewing figures for the weekend are usually lower than during the week also no bots so there's no chance of discussion which is good for them.

Yes. It's far more dangerous to ban words and have people hiding their views. Why are some people so scared of words and different points of views? It leads to totalitarianism where everbody thinks the same, that's dictatorship.
George Orwell wrote a book about it once. The book introduced the concept of Big Brother to the world. Kind of ironic really.

No, it's not the conspiracy aspect of it that's the problem, it's when you combine it with what he was saying the other day and it becomes offensive and that he has a real distan for bisexuality.

The point I'm trying to make is this freedom of speech argument wouldn't be there if he'd offended a bigger group of people. If he'd been continuously homophobic or racist people would lose their minds.

yes to this. Whats really shutting down free speech is that no one in there is capable of refuting the obviously offensive comments - creating the debate people are feeling robbed of in his removal. that debate should have been easy to win if anyone debated it.

In saying what he did while being the only one who is capable of holding court apparently, he's effectively giving information some viewers in a fashion that suggests views are irrefutable and therefore have some gravity.

Hatred? Are we watching the same program?

Ah here we go. And people who dish unnecessary insults to anyone who has an opposing view are such a credit to reasoned debate and society eh.

Lat year they didn't need to kick out the homophobic uk politician they let the voters/house decide.

I think it's okay to show any racist political or religious views as long as BB gives a warning to viewers beforehand.

A few years ago with the jade situation - politicians were getting involved but the online community were also shocked at the racist bullying of Shilpa and she would have been voted out that week anyway.

The BIGGEST problem is that Channel 5 have lowered the tone of the show and rewarded bullying so much that they probably think the public would vote to save a racist now or other BB producers would give them immunity!

Is it his fault none of the housemates debated him?! Why didn't Big Brother put up a caption saying "Big Brother does not endorse this view", or take him to the diary room and debate his views with him. That would be more useful to people then having him removed and indirectly censoring free speech.

All conspiracy theories are reiterated as though it is the truth not a conspiracy. Just go and visit the David icke forum. Icke and Alex Jones never says it's their theory, they are absolutely convinced that they are right

if you ask to read the BB rulebook that all contestants get to read you'll find he broke the rules with his comments.

Bib . That's simply not true . There are many issues that don't affect me but make my blood boil . An old geezer with crazy frankly idiotic views is def not one of them . I don't like him and never did , but he's from a generation that can occasionally get it very wrong regarding what they can say publicly . Happens all the time down the pub or in the park , Biggins made the mistake of airing it on telly . The fact that Renee was involved just as much yet was not removed is very telling that BB just wanted to whittle the numbers down and Biggins topped their shit list . After all we can't get rid of the thug who smashes mirrors or the mob wife, because one offers sexy time on camera and the other has cost a huge fee to import .

Did you watch the episode a few days ago when he said "the worst type are the bisexuals"

That's ignorance/hatred right there.

The same rules should apply whether you are hetrosexual or LGBT. If a hetrosexual had said the same, there would be outrage. Biggins was in the wrong and paid the price. He will either be ostracised by the LGBT community or, even worse, wtll create division within it.
