At one point has Biggins been discriminatory against actual AIDS suffers rather than his contentious view to label bisexual people as responsible for spreading it?

I fear people are just seeing what they want to see now and creating their own pick list of things to be outraged by Biggins at.

If people are so easily offended I don't know why they watch BB in the first place.

C5 have refused to show it and Biggins himself, in that interview has said they probablyu didnt show it to protect him

The Biggins love is strong in this poster.

It's not that it caused offence to viewers, it caused offence to housemates!

So he's been removed from the Big Brother house for saying something that people may find offensive but they haven't shown it so no one knows what was actually said or how many people may be offended by it and yet, people on here are offended, even though they don't know why!

He admitted in an interview in The Sun that he made an offensive remark about the Holocaust - we weren't shown it due to the show's lawyers deciding it was too problematic to broadcast.

I guess you are okay with that, being such a huge, huge Biggins fan.

I don't need to be a huge Biggins fan to be confused as to why so many people are offended, saying that he should be removed, etc. when they don't actually know what he said

The majority of the housemates are offended and scared by Bear but he is still there so Biggins can't have been removed because one housemate may have been offended by something he said

But that was made on Monday. He wasn't kicked until 4 days later.

He was warned for it and then subsequently had two more warnings for being offensive. I guess it's a three strikes kind of thing. Perhaps they assumed that he'd reign it in a bit after being given a stern warning.

It may be that some people are not defending Biggins per se, but are, rather, taking a Voltaire approach to the issue

I think BB find it easier to deal with Biggins than Bear. As Bear hasn't made any off colour jokes, just used threatening behaviour and language, they didn't have a PC reason for ejecting him.

Biggins probably didn't even realise that Katie was Jewish. However, the joke was in very bad taste, but I doubt he meant any harm - comparing the BB house to a concentration camp. It's a form of gallows humour - I doubt very much that he made the joke to Katie because she is Jewish.

I'm just confused as to why it's suddenly acceptable to say I'm worse than him because of who I'm attracted to... Opinions are great & what keep life diverse, if we were all the same it'd be a bit boring (In my opinion haha) but stating that all bisexual people are bad is not ok!

An offensive remark about the Holocaust would be saying he was completely in favour it.

He didn't exactly say that, did he? he said somethig like "The bisexuals are the worst - they just don't want to come out on one side or another" or something like that. That's not saying all bisexual people are bad, just that in the context of not choosing an orientation, they are the worst.

I can't believe I'm sticking up for Biggins - can't stand the man.

Also, it's just Biggin's opinion - why not turn it around and feel sorry for the old bufoon who can't seem to help putting his foot in his mouth.
