But that was made on Monday. He wasn't kicked until 4 days later.
Smells a bit doesn't it!!!

This is the same rag that demonised the Hillsborough victims ..... Still not got a great turnover in Liverpool as a result and lovingly referred to as The Scum paper by people of a certain age.

So the nazi thing was him making a joke about the oppressive BB regime?

Utterly ridiculous for BB to take issue with that.

Maybe it was one of the housemates who 'took issue with it' and BB had no choice but to respond

I'm not defending him, the man's an idiot. Even James got that.

I still think he should have stayed in though and let the public decide.

If Bear had said what this disgusting old bigot did, there'd be a lynchmob with pitchforks! Sickening that the twitter brigade think it's ok for bisexual people and aids sufferers to be discriminated like this.
Discrimination is about the treatment of people. Where was the discrimination in this instance?

Biggins thinks a rogue member of the production team leaked the story to the media and then BB were forced to take action.

Oh some people need to absolutely cop themselves on. I thought this forum reached it's lowest point around the JeSuisKen debacle but obviously some are out to prove them all wrong. Absolutely sickening the length some apologists will go to.

He admitted in an interview in The Sun that he made an offensive remark about the Holocaust - we weren't shown it due to the show's lawyers deciding it was too problematic to broadcast.

I guess you are okay with that, being such a huge, huge Biggins fan.
I am. It was a joke. An ill advised one said in the spur of the moment. One he apparently regretted. No 'joke' or opinion warrants removing someone from the house.

Are you ok with prince Philip having a best friend who was in the ss? How about both his sisters marrying ss officers? King Edward being a nazi sympathiser? The queen mother giving the nazi salute? How about prince Harry dressing up in a nazi uniform? But Biggins made a poorly judged joke. How evil.

He was warned for it and then subsequently had two more warnings for being offensive. I guess it's a three strikes kind of thing. Perhaps they assumed that he'd reign it in a bit after being given a stern warning.
Define offensive, Is it having an opinion someone disagrees with?

He apparently made an off colour or bad taste joke about the Holocaust.

An offensive remark about the Holocaust would be saying he was completely in favour it.
No, it might have been a comment about the Holocaust conspiracy theory.

It was definitely an off colour joke. He made a bad taste gag likening BB to being in a Nazi death camp.

Biggins was merely pontificating on the causes of the spread of aids from Africa

The bisexual conversations were given prominence but it was the ethnicity 'joke' that did for him. Deemed so bad that BB decided we're not allowed to know what he said.
It as a sad bit of gallows humour which misfired. The sort of humour that should be restricted to amongst friends

Maybe it was one of the housemates who 'took issue with it' and BB had no choice but to respond
I thought that Biggins had made an apology which as accepted.

Perhaps they should stop having old people in the house as they appear to be the serial offenders

SO IRONIC that Big Brother is named after George Orwell's book about a dystopian future in which thought and speech are tightly controlled... and that's exactly what this show has become!
Biggin's summary about how AIDS spread is factually CORRECT.
It's worrying that he was ejected for telling the TRUTH!

No .......People are defending because they don't agree with Channel 5's morals........
what people don't agree with is the inconsistencies and hypocrisy of it all , you show all the incidents or you show none you cant pick and choose and be the guardians of everyone's morals , when it suits C5

Some people get off on being 'offended' .... they look for it ... relish it

It's always been thus

Old "outraged, from Tunbridge Wells" is alive and kicking

Dear God, you have to wonder if half the posters on here read anything. The revolting old bigot was warned not once, not twice but three times about being offensive. If he is too stupid to watch what he says by that point then he deserves to be out. It isn't ok to go around spouting hate. It incites violence and unrest. It breeds discrimination.

And for those arguing about Bear being in well that is up to you to fight that cause it does not negate what Bigot Biggins has said or done.

Perhaps it was, and he STILL did it again

It's freedom of speech.
Change the word to toycar or rabbit and it will still be a silly conspiracy theory. Change the word to whatever you want and it's still freedom of speech. Ban people from saying words all you like, they will still think it though. To be against free speech, however repellent it may or may not be, is to be against freedom.
Brilliant

There is no such things as freedom of speech . This was a chat about AIDS I don't know how they were meant to word it. Whatever gender they put in would have been a nail in the coffin. It was ok to say it started with straight couples in a third world country but use the words bisexual and all hell lets loose in the pc world.

What about all the prisoners of war in the other camps in Asia or any other country. No wonder people do not know anymore what to say or they keep quiet. The public should have been allowed to judge biggins and I am not a fan of his.

Nor can I understand why lewis was the only one who got told off for doing dares. I am wondering who the heck is running channel 5 . One rule for one and one for another in the PC world.

What .......You mean......THE TRUTH????????? .............Do me a favour and try not to point that obnoxious rag in my direction......
exactly, people bang on and on about their sensibilities being offended and then post direct links to the filthy lying, racist, homophobic, misogynistic piece of shit scandalsheet that masquerades as a newspaper.....if you use that as evidence for your argument then you've already lost....

Normally i would défend his right to free speech but a telling remark in the sun interview is biggins, when refering to the comment he made to katie, goes on to say he could easily have said something far worse.

So i am with the op on this.

what biggins said was the truth, far too many people still think hiv is a gay disease and they wont get it, the fact is staights and bisexuals are the ones that are spreading it faster around the world as they think they wont get it or dont have it.

HIV/AIDS is NOT a gay disease, anyone can get it

to say that bisexuals are not at fault is wrong and for biggins to be thrown out for telling the truth is wrong., there is much more worse stuff thats been said and done in the house yet nothing is done about it

So you wanted him thrown out for something he didn't say, but could have?..even though you have no clue what the the something he could have said was? ......yes I can see how you're such an advocate of free speech
