Exactly . I would rather debate the issue with such people or if they are too entrenched to debate with then at least I'm more aware of their views for future reference.
The people we need to fear are those living in our midst while holding horrific views , as recent events in France have shown . I prefer to know who is who and what is what , out in the open so I know where people stand .
In the grand scheme of things Biggins silly theory is not on my radar other than my view that punishing him for it just to drum up publicity is deeply unfair .
If they with hold his fee I hope he sues for it . He put his time in to the best of his ability and at his age it wasn't an easy gig suffering that lot .
Boom! Mic Drop...walk away. Perfect, agree 100%

I agree with you. .... I don't think he said anything wrong. In fact part of what he said is fact. He just didn't put it into context or talk about other factors. I am bisexual and I was not offended .... I was miffed at what he said about me really being gay as I like both sexes and my current and previous relationships are with the opposite sex. But I am not offended he has an opinion. In my experience most gay people dislike bisexuals and have told me that. They don't enter into relationships once I tell them I am bi and their views why are far worse than Biggins. .....seems a lot of people with no idea are offering dedicated on our behalf
- This is true. I am not bisexual, but I have a lot of gay friends. It's no secret that many of them don't look too kindly on bisexuals, and it's very unfortunate. Humans, for the most part, want to put everything into neat little boxes with labels on them, and it's just not realistic. Human sexuality is so much more fluid than that.

He had 3 chances to stop breaking the rules as he knew they existed when signing up for BB.

These rules were outlined to all the housemates. He broke the rules continuously and paid the price.

The argument about freedom of speech is fair but it's not like he didn't know people have been removed from the house before so they can't really be outraged about that
Would he have considered any of these things a 'rule break' though? He's talking off the cuff and informally all the time and then these muppets keep calling him and telling him 'You can't say this, you can't say that'. I would have given him a warning over the Holocaust joke for sure but I think he's perfectly entitled to air his controversial opinions on bisexuality : if he's not even allowed to say it, then we're into censorship pure and simple.

Isn't it just a fact of life that many people live different lifestyles than the rest of us. Some people have natural groups to represent them (the gay community) but others do not (e.g. celibate older men who are often unfairly denigrated as 'odd' at best and potential perverts at worst; noone speaks for them). Unless we are materially disadvantaged in some way, we should be able to defend our lifestyle choices and not constantly expect the media to censor all comments. Biggins's comments were silly. I'd like to say they were ill informed, but his past lifestyle would suggests that he should be better informed than many of us. However his views should be challenged, not suppressed.

In addition, some of his views on bisexuality had been expressed 2 years ago in an interview for the Big Issue, although not the comments on Aids. They therefore should have been known to the producers.

As for his joke. It was in poor taste. But again, he could have just been told it was offensive. I would not interpret it as malicious (more insensitive) unless there was other evidence he was anti Semitic

Why has Renee not been chucked out?
Exactly, she agreed with his views and even managed to involve the CIA.

I'm finding the most offensive thing that Biggins has said is in the Sun interview.

Biggins said: “Katie is a very sensitive girl with a few issues.”

In the position he put himself in, that comment is pretty grotesque. And if that is what he believes, why is he trying to crack holocaust jokes to her.

Pillock.

I agree with him there . Even to me as a casual viewer it's obvious that she has issues . She rarely smiles , seems eternally in despair and is constantly needing reassurance . She is Ricky's full time job in there, trying to drag her out of the doldrums .He has the patience of a saint .
Come on , you must admit that her claiming that nomming the obnoxious oxygen thief that is Bear was "The hardest decision of my life" was waaaay ott .
She just gives off a needy vibe 24/7 and is incredibly depressing .
So yeah , I'd say she certainly has issues .

It seemed to me from what I've seen, that Biggins was one of the few people in there without underlying problems. After all what they're looking for are tantrums and bleating by people who are losing the plot, but take part in casual open discussions with no ulterior motive.............beware, not allowed.

I'm not surprised Biggins reacted with disbelief.

Dear God, you have to wonder if half the posters on here read anything. The revolting old bigot was warned not once, not twice but three times about being offensive. If he is too stupid to watch what he says by that point then he deserves to be out. It isn't ok to go around spouting hate. It incites violence and unrest. It breeds discrimination.

And for those arguing about Bear being in well that is up to you to fight that cause it does not negate what Bigot Biggins has said or done.
Spouting hate? Ffs, get a grip.

Freedom of speech means you can say what you like without the government getting at you. It doesn't cover tv shows that have clear rules laid out at the beginning.
Please, if big brother cared about rules they'd throw out half the house in each series.

In the series just gone, the 'others' were supposed to earn their status as housemates via tasks. They failed their task and still got made housemates. Big brother broke their own rules there. Numerous housemates broke out and came back in. They apply the rules indiscriminately, with their only guide being to generate as much interest as possible in order to make as much money as they can.

It's a shame that , as a few have already said, this wasnt used as an opportunity to educate biggins and perhaps those supporters who don't get why he was removed. And it would be a hell,of a lot more interesting than the mindless conversations that get aired between goldilocks and her three bears. I'm sure james and Saira would have opinions about this.
Removing someone doesn't remove the root cause of their ignorance.
