Not sure how true this is, but I found this article about someone that Bear had been going though.

I always thought bear to be very insecure, I thought there would be some reason why he behaves the way he does. It seems to me that he is used to getting loads of negative comments, even from his parents (and all his life).

And don't get me wrong, I think Bear is an asshole but also entertaining.

From the article:

Chatting about how poorly Bear manages his cash, we were told that after one pay cheque, the Ex On The Beach star went and bought two cats "just because he could" and ended up with "no money again".
Cats must be getting bloody expensive these days

Abyssian, somali, tiffanie, Burmese and chinchilla Persian cats are beautiful but very expensive pedigrees. Moggies are inexpensive, but they can be just as beautiful and normally have more interesting Characters. Rescue centres are crying out for good homes for their cats and kittens. Bear could have had a gingers, tabby, tortie or a black & white cat or kitten

I do even wonder if there is even more than what this article says about Bear, if it's true.

He does seem to have security issues big time, it seems as if he really isn't being himself. Not just in the house, but in real life too.

I KNOW!!!

Still for all those who are feeling sorry for him, I've got some very rare snake oil for sale... admittedly expensive, but it's not available anywhere else.... and if that doesn't take your fancy I've got this wonderful London Bridge for sale.... only one previous owner.

Millions of people are insecure, but they aren't hateful, despicable assholes. Millions of people have gone through Hellish lives but they don't take it out on everyone else and demand 100% attention 100% of the time. No excuses.

The reason he tossed the cup was because he had lost heavy d and renees friendship. In my opinion.

Yeah of course I don't expect people to feel sorry for him, and of course we cannot guarantee this is true. I hate him his behaviour as well.

There has to be a reason why Bear is the way he is though, this seems to make a little bit of sense. I'm not sure if he even wanted to become a celebrity in the first place, that he may only be doing it to try and win respect from his parents. Though saying that, you do wonder why his parents called him the "shit brother" in the first place.

I agree though, if he wants respect, he has to earn it like everybody else does. It might be difficult for him but he has got to find a way.

People on here are starting to look for reasons as to why Bear acts the way he does. Insecurities. Blah blah. Why do we need to look for something. Could it simply not be that this is him? What if this is just who Bear is?
He hasn't shown any endearing qualities or maybe his hard man mask slipped in such a way we have seen a vulnerable side.

This made me laugh:

"If he plays it right after BB, and has the right agent, he's got the charisma to go far."

doesn't the daily star have only about 6 staff... hardly gives them time not to just to write what comes into their head surely

It's actually refreshing to see an attempt to explain his antics albeit from a red-top.

I think we all get a bit carried away with the pantomime of BB and forget that these are real people whose behaviour has causes whether or not we approve of it.

I've noticed there seems to be a lot of support for the housemates that have behaved negatively

The man has no redeeming qualities or indeed shows any glimmer of humanity or compassion.

He doesn't make 'good' tv, he makes hateful and aggressive tv and you can tell the other HMs have had enough now too.

I guess there will always be a section of society who respond positively to this kind of behaviour, probably because they're like it themselves.

Not a particularly satisfying explanation though. His brother is rich and his parents are critical of him with no actual examples of that and he still chooses lives at home Wow poor Bear

It reeks to me of a pathetic attempt at a public relations exercise. Presumably the Star want him to write a column for them or something
