I'm astounded a. That biggins thinks he can brush of serious comments so easily, particularly carrying it on by saying I could've said worse. b. BB have tried to cover the whole thing up until it was leaked......thank goodness it was.

What else are we kept in the dark about, terrible underhanded behaviour from BB.

No it isn't. He never used "that word" or any particular buzzword referring to black people in the hoax transcript.

But the main point is that it was CLEARLY satire and deliberately written in an outrageous manner.

Maybe it's me.....but....I saw confrontation between Heavy D and Bear twice.....Bear was more threatening, only, and I strongly mean only because he knew he was perfectly safe within the confines of the security of the BB guys.

Heavy D backs down, mostly, as guys of his size tend to do in that kinda situation. Big guys aren't always the best contenders you know? lol Bigger they come harder they fall and all that! lol”

Heavy d should receive some sort of warning, he's been threatening on several occasions.

BB really do pick and choose who they want to support or not.

It does seem much closer to the actual turn of events than C5 suggest.

They did acknowledge it by mentioning the comment he made to Katie but we didn't know the exact details until this article. I'm not sure what more BB can do

Well didn't they say that he'd been offensive on a number of occasions and mentioned one of them being a conversation with Katie?

If it was as offensive as it is deemed to be wouldn't they actually be making it worse in repeating it? Isn't it enough that we saw a stern warning which ended in removal? In repeating the words or playing the footage they would simply be causing more offence wouldn't they?

Is it necessary to know exactly how it played out? They chose not to show it as clearly they thought some viewers might find it offensive.

Many of his generation still think saying 'coloreds' is less offensive than 'black people', although Biggins is in showbiz, not sequestered away in a backwater only communicating with other OAPS, so he should be a bit more enlightened as to what's PC these days.

Even Martin Luther King's original Dream speech referred to 'Negroes', not black Americans.

Absolutely! End is nigh I fear...this shows bears no resemblance to Big Brother.

Now hearing BB tried to cover the whole thing up, I really do questioned the lot of it now.

How can you pick and chose which hms to throw to the wolves and which ones they're gonna protect like they've tried to do with biggins, it really is disgusting and double standards.

Something else definitely happened otherwise he would never have felt the need to say "I live in Hackney and I have a lot of black neighbours who are fantastic."

I just wonder why they chose not to show that, but air his other comments.

So did he say something racist they havent shown?”

Biggins had earlier made a concentration camp “joke” to the Jewish former X Factor star, 30, as fellow housemates rowed in the bathroom.

He said: “You better be careful or they’ll be putting you in a shower and taking you to a room.”

He has clearly been deemed offensive and has been removed. It was a public removal - we all saw it in the DR. What do you think there is to be achieved by repeating his offensive comments for 'entertainment' purposes?

Fair enough, but to 'apologize' to Black people when the reports focused on Nazis/ Bisexuals/Concentration camps, he said something REALLY bad.
confuddled

Why wouldn't he just say as he was prepared to tell us about the Katie comment which we didn't know the details about I think he is just trying to prove his liberal credentials by saying he lives in Hackney blah blah.

It really doesn't, what manipulation.

Well I'd rather be provided with the whole truth rather than snippets BB decides to spoon feed people. If biggins has been so vocal we need to see what he's capable of and what his public views are as he's a public figure that earns a lot from the GBP.

If anything tonight the hls just seemed to downplay the severity of biggies remarks, anyone watching that would be like that wasn't enough to get the boot, or why wasn't Renee also chastised for her comments. it wasn't a true reflection of reality, just once again babe trying to make it as minimal as possible for their golden boy biggins, they gave very little footage or justification to save his future career in the industry.

Oh good lord.

Britain may literally be an island, but culturally it shouldn't be such an "island" that the "some of my best friends are..." defense isn't inherently understood to make things even worse.

Digging out of this hole requires a mea culpa, not something that instead comes off as making excuses. And if you can't in good conscience make a mea culpa, then the only other route is to shut your mouth a let things cool down. Flapping your lips and talking about how all the nice Jews, bisexuals and blacks you know all love you is so the opposite of what he should be doing now.

That sounds far more plausible as it's actually a joke and not just a garbled antisemitic assault like what was on the transcript.

When reporting events surely you needs it in its entire context. If we pick an chose what to air as not to offend people, we'd never gain the truth. Look at the media, people don't want to see gruesome images or hear horrible details and atrocities caused around the world, but that information is integral to being fully informed of events even if they are shocking or distasteful.

It isn't necessarily for entertainment purposes, he may go on to partake in further work as people will Remain in the dark regarding his full comments and the prejudices that he has. If he's said it then people should be aware of what the man's about and what views he holds.

People may get offended by violent sex acts i.e Laura and Marco, some may from General aggressive behaviour yet we've seen it time and time again, look at bear for example yet bb chose to air those instances is full without little consideration for those that may be offended. Even multiple racial instances have been covered in full, or violence towards Hazel etc. It's selected to protect biggins when so many past hms haven't been.

Thing is it's not now so much about Biggins now as it is about the credibility of the shows production.
If you remove someone from the show then you either show nothing at all or show the actual reason(s).
Otherwise (like exactly what is happening here) people will always say it's a cover up or faked.
