Been a FIFA player for the last 4/5 years after being a loyal pes fan before. Havent played it for years but gave the demo a go and was pretty impressed, interesting to see how the fifa demo looks later this week. Quick piece on the demo https://www.the-newshub.com/gaming/pes-2017-demo-review

I'd be interested to know what the online experience is like.
Never really interested in single player modes on football games. |

I am seriously thinking of buying pes 2017 today.
I've been playing fifa series since 08 but last year I had a year away from playing fifa. After trying both demos this week I've been more impressed with pes 17. Just one question is how the online play for ps3? |

Taken the plunge and bought it. Mainly because of the rave reviews. First PES I've bought since PES6.
Seen some reports of button lag in the online play but others saying it's OK so hoping for the latter when I give it a go later. |

i played one online game last night, the button lag was shocking, i mean near unplayable at times, seemed to be taking ages even to just switch player, dont think i'll be playing online again unless its fixed, offline though is still a pretty decent game, though i dont agree with the such high reviews,

Had a blast on the demo and initially thought It played alot like old school pes, from a decade ago.
I'm guessing the retail version plays even better, hence the rave reviews. I've been a fifa guy since pes's huge decline during the ps3/360 generation, but may consider picking pes up, once the initial fifa hype wear's off. |

Haven't got a PS4 yet but am planning on getting one.
Downloaded both the PES and FIFA demos on the PS3 and I have to say I prefer PES by some margin. I will re-evaluate the situation once I have a PS4 but I'm leaning towards PES at the moment. It's certainly got some very good reviews. |

In Ps2/1 days I preferred Iss/pro evo to fifa. Then On Ps3 Pro Evo became shocking but I still bought every year and was disappointed, Fifa was improving all the time. On PS4 while it's getting better, it's still not as good as Pro Evo 6, I have ordered Pro Evo 2017 and hope it will be as good as 6 - finally! Will I be disappointed?

Got the game and have played a few matches online. There is significant lag when playing 2vs2 (or more) but the connection is relatively fine when playing 1v1.
As for the game itself, i'm struggling a bit with close control, because either the AI is engaging me too well or I can't actually see 'myself' that well on the screen. This also feeds into my lack of ability to grasp the dimensions of the pitch; AI and online players are whipping 50 yard balls over me that look like they are going out, so I don't track back, but later realize they've got acres (especially if its a fast player) to run into and get an early cross in or have a one-on-one opportunity with my keeper. Overall it's okay, but it does feel 'slowed down' and not as smooth as recent previous editions. |

Absolutely loving this, the way the AI play is beyond anything I have ever experienced on a football game. I am Barnsley in master league mode, and obviously I am having to grind out results against the better sides, it really does feel like teams are dominating in different ways, one team was long balling it, another team were pressing high up and barely giving me time on the ball. Just had to sack my assistant though for some dodgy dealings in the transfer market 😉

This game is not too bad to be honest
Got Messi and Neymar in two swoops when I first started with this edition and am slowly building a team of familiar names around them Have to say it is more difficult to get black balls as the roulette is so fast, and it really is a shot in the dark and down to perfect timing Am in Division 10 at the moment, with Didier Deschamps as manager and got to the semi final of the WEPES Championship on the first attempt before losing to a player with a 1324 ranking |

I've been playing this for about a month now and have to say I am pleasantly surprised, enjoying it quite a bit. Keepers are so much better than last years and the difficulty curve has gone up significantly.

Waiting for the game to go sub £20.
I put quite a bit of effort into updating the last version with all the correct stuff so i'm not looking forward to having to do the same. |

I've put so much time into this game and that's pretty much solely on the online competition modes which I really enjoy. I'd stick my neck out and say it's the best football game I've ever played. Konami really upped their game here after some terrible efforts.
Also they've managed to deal with quitters in a better way than Fifa by having serial offenders matched to other fellow quitters. Also unlike Fifa you don't have to put up with an unplayable connection for 90 minutes since it'll just void the game if it gets too bad. The only downside to this is I've had people intentionally worsen their connection to avoid defeat. Idiots will always find a way it seems! |

A huge plus for me this year is the way it keeps a record of all the progress you have made on previous master leagues.

Still playing the bejeebus out of this, and still - STILL! - on PS3. Do I get some sort of award?
Anyway, I am absolutely loving it. Best footie game I've ever played I'd say. |
