In previous series the "celebrity rumours" thread has always been used for confirmed names alongside continuing speculation. I really don't see the need for a separate thread.

The need is that one thread can be used for speculation and one can be used for discussion of confirmations for those who want to avoid either one.
Anyhow, looking forward to hearing who's in this time.

Some people might not be interested in the speculation and random suggestions, so might appreciate a thread which just contains the facts without having to wade through everything else?

last year we got the 1st confirmed name on Monday 10th August so I think we will get the 1st name tomorrow sometime

Quite excited for Ed Balls. Politicians are always loved and loathed in equal measure, but I can be impartial and say I believe he is a very good signing.
