We have seen her with Nicky Byrne- he had lots of potential and also Mark Wright was a contender on paper.
She's had a better run than Natalie- who's had 4 less skilled partners in a row, Oti - who had a partner with only one working arm and Joanne - who had a duffer and then nobody.
Plus it took Ola until her 8th series to get a contender.

Nobody has had a worse run than Natalie, perhaps except Ola.
I agree that, in each of their years, Nicky and Mark were considered contenders - hardly ringers though were they? Both their years were very thin on the ground, male contender-wise...

I wouldn't hold out much hope. I feel her style is intrinsically kitsch. I see her as more of a character dancer. I just don't think she has what it takes to produce beautiful understated but elegant VW or Foxtrot

Although Karen is better than Janette at ballroom, Neither have the technical background to produce an elegant VW or FT - we are lucky half the time to just get an authentic routine in those dances from either of them

I didn't know that, was it before the "official" announcement? I assumed that the announcements were meant to be key part of the show and therefore managed by the producers, not the celebrities themselves. I assumed that part of what they sign up for is keeping schtum until the PTB spilled the beans.
Are we certain that we're getting an announcement from Vanessa Feltz's show? Because I haven't heard her mention anything about Strictly so far and I really don't want to have to carry on listening to this crap for much longer.

I tried 20 minutes and then I gave up.
Seems to be all about banking so unless Tyra Banks is the next announcement I'm not convinced.

I think both Karen and Janette come across as total sweethearts - but (with all my vast experience
) I wouldn't particularly care if I never saw either of them dance again
