Fair point, I did see him walking away. I wouldn't be laughing at all if I saw that though, I'd feel compelled to say to Aubrey that perhaps she should think about it'd feel if someone did that to her. It is difficult when you're party to something like that without wanting to be... And yeah it wasn't just Ricky, I was disappointed in all the people that witnessed it.
Horrible situation.

He strikes me as mature, thoughtful and quite decent.
Ricky to WIN!

This!! I'm living for this! We are allowed to dislike people and not feel the need to screech like retarded bears at them. Stupid people do that, it's not a sign of honesty, the a sign of an inability to socialise like an intelligent adult

I do not like the man who sells tickets at my local station but I have to deal with him a few times a week. He knows I dont like him from my tone, but I would not say "oi mate your a complete knobhead". Many passengers have said the same, so someone please explain why they feel I should not discuss what a dick he is with other passengers, if I dont tell him to his face and making an already unpleasant situation worse and risking him deciding to take his tea break everytime I get to the front of the que.

I could go to another station to buy my ticket, but Ricky and others are stuck in that house with people they dont like and they are entitled to discuss it with others who feel the same as him. I am sure if he felt he could have a sensible conversation with the likes of bear he would say something but he knows what bear is like and has gone in to the house for reasons other than to be arguing and screaming and shouting.

Ricky, Sam, Frankie,James etc have not gone into the house to be having confrontations or are constantly doing things to get airtime, unlike some of the sad muppets in there that some people seem to think are hilarious because they like to goad and wind up others or have showmances because their personality alone would get them little or no airtime otherwise”

Exactly. I don't like my bosses partner. Quite frankly, he creeps me out. I'm hardly going to say that to his face but I discuss it with my colleagues as most feel the same.

This does not make me two faced. I like my job and want to keep it thanks!

Ricky doesnt' get enough air time, and when he does the guy is usually talking to other housemates about Bears behaviour?

Rubbish! Ricky is lovely and just because he talks to his friends about the antics of others doesn't mean he is two faced. There is nothing to be gained by voicing these opinions to the yobs like bear as he is too stupid and would just try and make his time in there miserable. I don't condone violence but I truly think that bear thrives on bulling and belittling people and the only thing that would get through to him is someone larger and tougher than him giving him a good pasting. Sad but true

I like Ricky, and I admire the fact that he has very little to do with the three uncouth bores...

You're right. He comes across as an OK guy, but I don't think he'd actually stand up and confront the likes of Bear or Lewis unless their numbers were severely depleted.

Hardly being two faced. It would be two faced if he was saying those things about Bear and then being all friendly to him in the house. He doesn't bother with Bear or any of his group at all. Plus the whole point of the DR is to vent. You don't have to say everything on your mind to someone's face.

I really don't get the two-faced thing. He has expressed his opinion to other housemates but he's hardly been in a position to need to express how he feels to Bear's face has he. So why should we expect him to just step up and give his opinion to someone's face without provocation, that's just stupid.

I think Ricky is very sly, he'll let others be the fall guy while he thinks he can take advantage. He'll talk crap about Heavy D while he actually likes what he is doing. It will fool some of the audience who aren't listening closely. I don't know how famous he is, maybe he thinks he has enough fans outside anyway.

It makes you diplomatic and mature.

Bear, Lewis and Marnie exist in their own reality tv bubble in which confrontation is probably expected of them but for someone like Ricky as an actor who's used to working in an ensemble cast like Eastenders he'll know the importance of tact and diplomacy or else he'd never work again.

It's like when people on here slag off housemates for bitching in the diary room rather than saying it to people's faces but again unless it led to a productive outcome why would you vent off to someone you don't like or care for just to receive antagonism back from them?”

Yes! Especially the second paragraph. Reality TV stars are encouraged to act like the lowest common denominator. I always think of Stephanie who had a great professional acting career and acting talent then threw it away to display the worst side of herself to the public for entertainment. Sam must be having some culture shock is all I can say. There was a day when people had skills and talent. Now it's the more broken you are the more unhinged the more enotionally unintelligent, the more money and gigs because people want to watch the car crash while eating popcorn. It would be nice for bb fans to reclaim the show from these 'professional' reality TV stars.

Can't believe I'm saying this but maybe, just maybe, there's a little bit too much confrontation in the house? I'm not sure exactly how confronting Bear will resolve anything tbh. The man is impervious to any kind of reason or compromise. Makes for fantastic entertainment but other than beating him to death, there's very little proportional recourse for the man. No sense in Ricky doing anything but keeping schtum. He's outflanked and underresourced.

Why should he? He blasts them behind their backs and stays away from them that is not being two faced. Two faced would be if he was sitting there night after night joking with them and sitting with them but they very well KNOW that Ricky doesn't like him hence the voting against him!

Ricky is mature, grown and would only cause MORE arguments if he voiced his feeling about them but believe me, if they start on him watch him retaliate! He is worth 10 of them!

It would be much better if the diary room chats remained secret from the rest of the house for the duration of the series. Then housemates would be able to talk candidly about other housemates in the knowledge that it would have no repercussions in the house. Then we would get a true view of how they feel about each other and would have uninhibited comments which I am sure would be entertaining. After all, ultimately the purpose of the programme is to entertain us and I would be more entertained by frank comments from an intelligent housemate about some knuckle-dragging drongo than I would be by seeing said drongo screaming inanely in yet another argument in the house.

Why do some people believe that every thought a housemate has should be automatically relayed to the person(s) in question? Talking behind someone's back is perfectly normal - why start a fight when there's no point?
Anyway, Ricky has made his views known openly, as far as I can tell. We really see only a fraction of the conversations, so presumptions shouldn't be made as to who he has spoken to.

Exactly.
If Bear comes to him with any 5hit, i have no doubts that Ricky would wipe the floor with him.
I for one, would love to see that confrontation.

So when he kept out of the arguments and bitching he was - under the radar/sleeping etc
When he vents with his friends he is - a slimeball/game player etc

Blimey give the guy a break!

They wouldn't start on him. He and James would have them for breakfast!

Ricky is a good guy, unlike Stephen and Lewis who are both very aggressive and unpleasant.

I would like to see it as well but how would it be any diferent from the usual Bear winding another housemate up and then when they are wound up and angry mocking them to their face "you angry bruv ? You seem a little angry to me mate. Dyu need to take a moment to calm down pussycat ?"
There is no option for resolving it with violence.

We saw how brave Bear is when that security guy came into the diary room.

Such a pussycat.

A 2 faced person says nasty things behind your back and then is really pleasant to your face.
Ricky isn't doing that at all. He is being civil but not over friendly. If I didn't like someone I wouldn't need to tell them over and over that's trouble making. He isn't a trouble maker he is venting with his friends and everybody does that. I don't like man down the street, I might even tell my friends that. Why would I walk over to him and say "Guess what I don't like you".
That's stupid. What's more antagonist in general. With this mob in particular I can totally see why he wouldn't. They have shown themselves to be people with anger issues.
Most people if they don't get on with someone will be civil to them to keep the peace. He is doing exactly that and most people do that. I have done that if I am in a situation with someone I don't like. I suggest in life many of you should do the same, especially for any of you who work with someone they don't like.

So he isn't being 2 faced at all. Sounds to me like some people have no idea what 2 faced actually means.
If you want to see 2 faced check out Chloe. Now that's a different kettle of fish entirely. She is playing 2 sides off each other. That's 2 faced.
