She's proved she can't sing live. Even mad-dog Megan McKenna had a much better voice than her.
Why is she so deluded? |

Not deluded. Never been a fan of her signing and she has zero chance of resurrecting it in this country. However, she had a big fan base in Europe and if she does well in CBB her profile will be raised enough IMO that that will be a kick start for being picked up by a European promoter who wants to do some sort of reunion tour.

I was actually really surprised how good she was when she sang the other week... Better than Katie I thought.
And she's made a shedload of cash in other countries... Fair play to her.

Sam could look amazing with a little makeover. Her image and styling is old-fashioned but she still has a lovely, youthful face.

I bought 'touch me' when I was a kid.

What else does she sing besides Touch Me ? She must have more then one successful song to do a revival gig

To be honest I don't think she actually needs the CBB promotional boost to "revive a flagging career". It looks more like it is a "nice to have " from her point of view. I was quite surprised to learn that she does indeed have a significant fan base in the world beyond the UK.
It may come as a shock but there are 6.9 billion people out there buying records that do not feed into the stats of the UK top 40. Success in music does not begin and end with our anglo-centric charts. There are plenty of mega successful artists out there that most of us will have never heard of. Astonishingly she has made 7 albums (plus two greatest hitsalbums). Few artists get the chance to make a new album if the last one didn't sell, so it suggests that she is selling albums. It seems her world wide album sales over 20 years amount to 30 million copies sold. It also seems she can sell out 20 and 30 thousand seater concerts. In fact she did 3 nights at 70,000 seats per night in India. A UK chart success I am sure would be a feather in her cap but even if it doesn't happen I think I could live with Sam's "lack of success". Her career seems pretty healthy by any sane measure. |

She was, in her heyday, a huge star in India. Seriously - she was like their Madonna

She has made enough of a career from singing/performing to be entitled to be narked by that irritating HD wanting to do a duet with her. It's the same as asking any of them if they can tag along with them in their day job. Maybe Marnie can get him on Geordie Shore or James could have him chatting to callers on Talk Sport. Really?

In fairness I don't think she really meant it in that context.I think it was just a jab at Heavy D being a crap singer.
I do think they should arrange a duet task though and pair them up. It could be a great TV moment like Verne and Ulrika. |

She will always go down well on the 80's circuit. The rewind festivals are doing great now and she always has the holiday camp 80s shows to do. Fair play to her, a few beers and some dodgy dayglo lycra and I might just be bopping along to her at some point.

She was very big headed in that diary room. Where did that come from it had nothing to do with noms .
No wonder she is not being herself she thinks this is going to help her career . Her next single should be called the great pretender |
