We don't need one person being OTT to make the show entertaining. It's going too far down the scripted reality show route.
If that's what people want from BB then so be it but there are shows out there that cater for that. They'll lose a chunk of the hard core BB fans but to be honest, I don't think the producers will care

Agree, hes made the show what it is.

Bear, Renee, Heavy D, Saira even though most people will dislike them are what are making it watchable - they are creating scenes and tension.

Katy, Sam, Ricky, James, Aubrey, Lewis, Marnie and the others may as well not be there.

I've never understood that kind of humour. Taking pleasure in someone's else's discomfort. Im clearly old fashioned and naive to hope that characters like Bear don't win or even get applauded for their behaviour. But this is the route BB seems to be determined to take. I'm sad as I've enjoyed watching it since series 2 but I'm not sure I can continue.
I'm sure this will of no concern to the programme makers, I'm not the audience they want.”

Because it's the entire point of the show.

I've been watching since day 1 and the show has become softer and softer as the years have gone on.

Without Bear there would be little, to no entertainment. Why do viewers insist on voting out the characters that make the show enjoyable to watch? Why do you want to watch a bunch of boring Celebs sitting in the smoking area all day? That doesn't make sense to me.

To all the smart arses saying it's vote to save, great... I wasn't saying only to save him this week, I mean to save him until nearer the end of the show. Whether it's vote to leave or save doesn't really come into it.

Just because I find the situation entertaining, doesn't mean I like the guy and would like to hang out with him.

He's obviously pissed off he's been put up for nomination each week, he's like a spoiled child, but his reaction is hilarious to watch.

Hilarious? To watch grown people behave like obnoxious four year olds to attract attention to the point where the other HMs have to spend their entire time being aware of them and keeping out of their way? In that case what is the point of having other HMs? May just as well fill the house with them and see who is the last pest standing. The sooner Bear, Lewis and Marnie go the better.

Hes vile, a disgrace and quite honestly shouldn't even be in that house. You turn BB on its the Bear show, never mind anyone else.

If Bear does something wrong he gets a warning and it is all okay again. Its a complete sham and you are wasting your money by voting on anything to do with that show.

Same here - he's a massive wind up merchant and the others just don't know how to play him at all. If they had a laugh with his wind ups - which are pretty harmless - rather than getting unnecessarily uptight, it'd be playing him at his own game.

Saying 'only idiots like idiots' and 'do you like being nasty to people' is taking things far too seriously - it's an entertainment show, something Bear realises. I don't want to watch Katie wandering around like a ghost, or Ricky whinging, I want to have a laugh - it's not flaming Question Time, it's Big Brother!

As far as I am aware Bear has had one official warning just as some of the others have. The worst is the spitting warning but it seems that is accepted by some on here, now that's vile.

Maybe Katie crying and Ricky winging wouldn't be happening if the house mood wasn't so down because of bear antics.

If ppl on the forum are annoyed at bear, imagine how stressed they'd be living with him. He's destroying their time in the house

Sarcastic, annoying wind-up merchants are nothing particularly unusual in BB, it's just that they usually know when to stop. Bear doesn't seem to want to so it's down to BB to rein it in and they obviously don't to, if anything they encourage Bear. Name of the game these days I guess. Bear is there to up his career but what BB are getting out of this I fail to see

Entertaining?? I'm afraid I don't call Bear entertaining, he's draining and boring. But we all see different things and clearly watch for different reasons.
Arguments that evolve naturally can be interesting to watch, thkugh I don't like to watch anyone being upset.
Deliberate attempts to wind other less noisy characters to the point of frustrated rage is not entertaining. At least not to me. I like to see people interact, see the relationships unfold naturally, see the group dynamics.
I think you saw a more genuine view of people's personalities when BB manipulated the house,. No matter the success of the career, it very quickly became about food and home comforts and those basic essentials were a great leveller.
Like I said, I'm clearly not the audience they want.

I think Bear is boring too. it was mildly entertaining in a weird way at first but I think his wind ups and rudeness has become a bit samey and boring now so i think hopefully his time has come and we can see others develop.

I appreciate humour is subjective, but for the life of me, seeing a supposed grown adult behave in the way that monstrous Bear is beggars belief.

I see nothing remotely entertaining in watching people being subjected to harassment and goaded to the point of tears and anger to be really quite distasteful.

I'm surprised he hasn't had his features rearranged before now. He's a disgusting excuse of a man, foul mouthed and utterly repulsive.

I don't how people can find that hilarious or likeable. He is a disgusting damaged evil individual and it makes for very uncomfortable viewing

Yeah I think Bear is quite nasty with his "humour" and thats why he differs from previous wind up merchants we've seen like James Jordan, Marc etc.

I love a bit of banter myself but he goes too far where its not funny anymore. And has just got completely boring as there is nothing else to him whatsoever.

I wish we could but unfortunately it is a vote to save so he will get lots of votes. I don't understand it myself but people will vote for him as they think he is entertaining. In my book he is just an irritant.

Sadly Bear can't be voted out because it's a vote to save.

Bear is th _unt of the show and would be getting a ton of votes in a vote to evict.

This or watching people achieve their lives ambition at the Olympics on the beeb?

This is some depressing voyeuristic un-empathetic nonsense.

Bear is boring now. It might have been funny for a few days but We've seen them all react to his wind ups so what else is there to do now. And hes nasty with it, in a kind of playground bully way with all his chumps or supporters cheering him on.

Couldn't agree more Jane. I was beginning to wonder if I was living in a parallel universe with all these people supporting Bear. He is simply awful. I'm just catching up with the last few episodes and am shouting at the TV screen. You have summed him up perfectly and I really can't think of any more adjectives to add, except perhaps selfish and self entitled.

His reaction to the nomination? Renee and Aubrey summed it up afterwards - the others kissing his backside because they're scared of him. What an individual to have to live with! BB will have to find a more suitable punishment for him for all of his rule breaks, because at the moment he's sticking his fingers up at him. Grrrr.
