Lets have another Helen Wood win and be ashamed of ourselves immediately after.

Just not surprised to see the usual "Keep Bear in" / "He's a Legend" type rubbish sprouted on this forum.

He is ruining the series for me. I don't want to watch this pathetic wannabe for another 3 more weeks or however long is left.

I wouldn't say he's really Helen, I think he's more Marc. I still dislike him but he's winding people up more than being vile and nasty as such. That's not to say he's a nice person but he's definitely Marc more than Helen, but I disliked both lmao.

CBB is fast becoming the show for vile and nasty reality nonames. I found CBB is fast becoming unwatchable and I don't think I am alone.

It suppose to be an entertainment show and this series has not been entertaining because of several mean and vile contestants.

What celebrity in their right mind in future would consider a stint in CBB if they can go in with idiots running amuck and if they accidently say something non PC they get ejected.

CBB has a use by date and the public will soon turn off because of idiots like Bear and eventually the show will be axed.

Agree with the Marc comparison. Marc was more likeable than Bear though and got way more hate than he deserved on this forum.

Helen Wood was a lovely woman, love her daily mail column. Articulate and classy. Obviously she took Danielle's advice to "get some bloody class you bloody weirdo man."

Helen became the least worst option for some. Just a bad series.

When it became clear Helen Wood was escaping being nominated I stopped watching.
At least Bear is up every week but if he doesn't go tonight I will give the rest of the series a miss. I don't find infantile bad behaviour in adults at all entertaining.

Bear WON'T be going no where tonite... He's topping the online polls to be saved & is favourite with the bookies to stay at 9/1.

Bear is gaining support on social media on a daily basis.

As I said on my thread I posted cpl of days ago...

He's like Helen Woods mark 2

First few weeks he'll push all the HMs buttons
He'll push BB but never cross that line
Then the last 10 days he'll change, we'll see the softer side, more empathy & sympathy from him, plus he'll be repentant for all his wrong doings. Completing his "journey".
Viewers will fall for this like they did with Helen *sighs*
IMO it's so obvious what he is doing, he is so desperate to win this.

Even though he will be up for eviction every single week the bookies have him in 5th place at 8/1 So even the bookies don't think he'll be leaving any time soon.

There I've called it ”

Bear is just like a petulant kiddie, best ignored and humoured rather than bother waste energy disliking him. Where as Lewis is the real nasty cove, Id take ten Bears over one Lewis everyday.

But a whole other class pf wrong is the ejected one, at least with Bear you get whats on the packet with this irksome fool you get a jolly engaging laugh that is hiding a whole twisted mess of distasteful views.

Seems like it.

Did not bother to tune in last night. Just caught up on fast forward now.

Will probably tune out after Friday.

Have fun with viewers switching off and vile Bear winning

One thing I can agree with you on is that I can see exactly the same pattern developing as what happened with Helen. In respect to how people are receiving him.
Although the situation was different in that Helen got a free pass to the final and Bear has an eternal nomination.

But I can see exactly the same situation where he will win and then afterwards he will be described as Worst. Winner. Ever.
What do people expect? They think they can watch a housemate with morbid fascination for weeks on end and get them out at a time of their choosing. That 'let's keep them in for a while' approach will create a momentum which WILL turn into real support and probably make him win the series.

I think that there are people who hate him, but they hate him so much that they can't resist watching him, and so sort of love him at the same time. It can be a fine line with these sorts of housemates. You won't get many who will admit to that though. Viewers themselves are guilty of creating these monsters.
Like some housemates say, if you rise to his bait then he's suckered you in. And he knows this perfectly well. He's playing the viewers just as well as he's playing the housemates.

In the traditional CBB this type of rubbish would never have happened.

With the type of viewers we have now I could see Jade Goody surviving over Shilpa.

Its just the new gameplan you need to survive on Channel 5 BB is to be as nasty as possible and not have any morals or integrity.

Nope, I have friends who've switched off over it and I am close to doing so also.

Its just garbage gutter trash viewing.

Utter lowlife individual.

How anyone can say he is funny is beyond me.

Those are your friends though. I said 'that there are people'.
You know that I'm right.

I sense a bit of anger in you there. You seem a bit angry. A bit tetchy.
You see how it works?
It might not work on you but it will definitely work on a lot of people who enjoy getting wound up by housemates.

I am not tetchy at all.

Just feel the show has now been reduced to rock bottom.

Says more about you and others if you want to see Bear win.

Enjoy it

Much as i can see Bears faults the people critiscising him using words like "scum" and "pond life" really turns me off and i find much more unpleasant and bizaare than anything bear does - its a gameshow.

Did I say that I want Bear to win? Did I?
You say that you're not tetchy, and I think what I was saying went right over your head anyway as I was speaking in the style of Bear when he taunts somebody when he's wound them up for them appearing a bit stressed, but you appear emotional enough to not have understood my post.

Too often on here people think you have to have a black and white opinion of a housemate. For example, you think I want Bear to win because I haven't expressed sufficient anger towards him, therefore my opinion of him must be contrary to yours.

I'm just agreeing with the OP about the habits of viewers and history repeating itself. I haven't said a thing about how I feel about Bear as a housemate, let alone say that I want him to win the show.

I don't like Bear at all as it goes.
I'm well past caring who wins with this show. Those days have long gone.

Absolutely. Marc was a tool, yes, but the relative hate he got on this forum was so disproportionate that I got infuriated many, many times.

I mean the other housemates were so painfully dull (remember "young, normal girl" Chloe, who won? ), that Marc was a welcome relief from all the tedium.

Bear doesn't appear to have Marc's depths though. I have laughed at some of his antics but a lot of the time, he does come across as quite bullying and nasty. I can see why some view him as being a catalyst for drama though.
