I have been an avid viewer of BB from day one .....spent time wasting watching live feed...well into the night ...but I am wondering if I am now too old ..it is not the BB I enjoyed ...it is not so much the swearing or sex ,it is the fact that nasty people seem to get all the footage and it is deemed entertaining....plus it appearsi very much edited to promote these people.CBB consists of too many from TOWIE Geordie shore ....ex on the beach.....is it because true celebs don't want to do the programme anymore ???.OHdon't know .....but I do miss the old BB..........The all night..and fun tasks.....

A good example of the change is the 2 worst people in there bear and Lewis both pulled the 2 girls in there despite they are awful human beings .

I miss the good bb the fun bb the tasks .I don't know anything about these people except some were on reality shows. As no one talks except Rennie about mafia garbage .

You are not alone OP - I feel the same. I've watched BB from the start but if it had been then what it has now become I would never have watched it. The last few years I've given up on series before the end. This summer BB is the first one I've watched through in a while and I was hopeful for CBB but to me it's just trash TV dominated by 4 revolting individuals from tacky reality shows. Maybe this is what C5's target demo want - times change I guess.

Sadly not always for the better as this CBB series is showing us at the moment. I always think it cannot get any lower and then bang this one comes along.

It's absolutely sickening to watch at times. How on earth can people say that Bear's behaviour is making great tv is totally beyond me.

Agreed. Tv now is all about instant results. If you compare a drama series made in the 70s to now, scenes were longer, dialogue was more than just a couple of words and characters were allowed to develop. Now, scenes rarely last longer than a couple of minutes and some characters won't speak at all, just look knowingly at the camera. So reality TV is anything but real, that would take too much time . Put some villains in, give them a couple of silent partners to show their sexual prowess and success in lurve, give them an agenda of being as unpleasant ax possible and give them the airtime.....simples.

I and it annoys me when people say, that's what people want nowadays.
If people want that sort of tv there are already dozens of programmes offering that - rows, winding up, snogging and sex - they didn't need to mess about with what was the original formula.

Apparently those of us who say we enjoyed the "good old days" are getting too old for BB (in some eyes). We need to move with the times, we know where the off button is or we don't know what real entertainment is nowadays.
I have enjoyed some of this series to be honest, but it seems that Bear is a one-trick pony, hellbent on being the one HM remembered for this series. Well he will be, but mainly for THAT diary room incident, and he can try and joke about it as much as likes when he comes out and says he's not bothered about it, but his pride will be well and truly kicked-in when that's played back to him.
If the production team think that this is what the majority of viewers want to watch, and don't even bother giving the other HM's a look-in, then BB will most likely run its natural course sooner rather than later.

Perhaps the name of the show needs changing. Apart from a handful of actual celebrities who are anxious to re-invent themselves, it now consists of individuals from 'reality' shows that celebrate ignorance, tacky drunken sex and spiteful or aggressive behaviour. The 'stars' of these shows are by no means celebrities, but simply talentless attention-seekers who are prepared to ditch their self-respect for cash.

As others have also said, this seems to highlight a general dumbing down through the medium of TV (this also applies to the 'celebrity culture' print & internet media.) It is getting difficult to avoid - but this is probably the last CBB I'll be watching.

I agree... Ben Elton wrote a brilliant, brilliant book called Dead Famous about a BB stylie show, which, although it is satire & fiction - could be real life!!
Even that though was long before it turned into a soft porn/s***stirring fest... I really miss the fun tasks, at least they would show ALL the housemates doing stuff instead of focusing on a few, this series in particular has been so negative. I think Frankie in particular could be really good fun to watch, but he doesn't stand a chance when all BB are doing is focusing on the people that have nothing to offer except arguing/shagging etc...

The nudity doesn't bother me at all, I remember my mates & I creasing up when Craig & Nicola from BB1 stripped off & did clay painting with their bodies, that was hilarious & yes we were a bit shocked, but it wasn't gratuitous & it didn't feel seedy.

Even the tasks so far seem to have been designed to cause strife between the housemates, it's painful to watch.

I'm pretty much done with it too and there was a time when I wouldn't miss an episode. The people they put in these days are dreadful. Only a fool wouldn't see through the mini tasks they do and we don't get to really see the housemates as they are through live feed.

The people running the show want porn, arguments and violence is not even punished. That's the example they want to set for all the youngsters watching.
