I know tesco runs on O2 and apparently has lower priority than O2 itself.
However, recently had to get kids phones....costly times. They are tesco and I'm O2. We were out and about and decided they had mentioned they had 4G. I looked at my O2 phone and I had h+. Yeah thanks O2.

They are different phones so possibly different antenna.

Taking out my phone price I'm 10.20/month for 500mins,ul text, 500 data.
They are 7.50/month for 250/2000/500 but Tesco give a perk if you have 2 or more phones on same account. I think choice was extra 200 mins, 250mb or 600 tesco to tesco mins. They've taken the data.
Looks a pretty good deal to me over O2. Only thing I think not allowed is 3g/4G video call on tesco.
I might move there myself when contract up. There might even be more when sim only as they got phones too for thier 7.50

I'm fairly certain that the Priority between Tesco and O2 is either the same now or maybe slightly lower but I can use O2's Pay Monthly APN for 4G data on my phone no problem with my Tesco SIM.

Tesco are very good and I would advise you to make the saw, been with them 8 years now for my main phone and no issues.

I think O2 business have the most priority, followed by o2 contract, then o2 pay as you go and Tesco mobile.

However what does all this mean in the modern world? Not much. I've been to big events where demand on cells is massive. My Tesco phone works, just like o2 phones. When it doesn't, nor does the o2 phone. If data is the real issue, well I've been getting 60meg on speed test via 4g - that will do for me.

They are the Same Priority. You don't mention what phones you are talking about. Obviously it must be a 4G phone with correct band support to get 4G and it must be enabled on your tariff. Even standing next to each other doesn't mean you will get the same signal from the same mast.

As for video calls there are plenty of free video messaging apps.

First question is what phone are you using?

The coverage is the exact same, it's just a difference in the phones. There can be a fair variation between them especially if you're on fringe coverage. I'd look at leaving o2 altogether personally but if you want better signal then look at phones like the Nexus 6P, Huawei ones, they're known for being good. I'm sur ewe had a thread comparing them somewhere
