If Natalie doesn't get a contender I will be an unhappy bunny. As usual though she will make the most of whoever she does get as she's an absolute star.

Actually it was supposed to be the very opposite of serious. I just don't understand why people care so much about which pro gets which celeb and supposed 'fairness'. I enjoy watching all the celebs learn a new skill and in fact get the greatest pleasure when someone who is a supposed 'dud' turns in a sparkling performance.
So far from viewing as Strictly in the same way as the World Dance Championships, I take more pleasure from seeing the less gifted dancers having a go and very competent teachers like Natalie extracting something extra special from them.
But I'm not going to comment any further, because you're right, I'm not really in tune with the spirit of this thread.

I really liked Brendan with Jo Wood. I think he knew from the start that she was never going to become a dancer and so he concentrated on just trying to make Strictly a good experience for her, without any pressure on her to try and win, or even to try and reach the latter stages of the competition. I wouldn't mind seeing him with another Jo Wood.

Even if Aljaz was to be paired with a 'dud', unlike some of the other pros, he seems to have the patience to bring out the best in his partners regardless of their abilities.

Kevin is my favourite to do a Joanne and sit out the year as part of the rumoured troupe if there aren't enough female celebs to go round. He's had 3 good runs on the show, so fair enough. I have no problem with the Cliftons btw.
There's no way Anton and Brendan would sit out a year. Pasha had Carol last year. Gio is too new and Aljaz too popular. So unless a newbie gets a pass straight to the troupe who else is it going to be?
Karen does well with the less gifted contestants. I'd be interested to see if Janette could handle a really good dancer and Oti barely got started last year. Joanne of course deserves a good 'un. Whilst Natalie needs a good celeb, she's more than done her time but her super power of height tends to stitch her up, year after year and she's always so gracious!
