Because

1) She had a "contender" last year (on paper, at least) in Antony - so she will not get another this year. That counts out Will & Danny.
2) They will not give her another black celebrity (though Antony is technically mixed-race) counting out Melvin & Ore.

So, so far, we are left with Ed who is neither a contender nor black.
