EE- Casting of Potential Older Male Character.
With the upcoming departure of Buster and Les, Patrick is going to be the only 60+ man on the Square. Patrick has been in the show since 2001 and I hope he remains but the loss of Buster and Les and the dreadful Gavin sees the older male generation poorly represented on the show.
The show struck gold when they hired Timothy West as Stan Carter so it would be great to see another accomplished male actor of the older generation joining the show. |

I heard Christopher Biggins is at a loose end. Eric Mitchell back from the dead? Walks in on Phil and whispers "Ello 'airless..."

Buster, Les and Gavin were/are all weak characters so they need to get it right next time.

What are Barry and Paul Chuckle doing these days? They could introduce them as a couple of removal men who fight which one of them ends up with Shirley....

Jack Ellis really slagged EE off around 2005ish and as the BBC hold grudges over this sort of thing I doubt he will ever be asked on the show.

I'm utterly surprised that the Nature Boy Ric Flair has never been approached.

I was reading earlier a headline about a man who is 145 so it is plausible that her father is still alive.
