Why is it such a big issue with the forum if reality people win

It takes up a month or so of our lives then it's gone and we recommence for the next one.

Reality people are the stars to the audience they want watching and crucial voting.

People say on here they are not celebs but they are very big ones to the above.

There always an assumption that someone who was a star thirty years ago will be popular with young viewers and people don't understand why they are not.

There is the default Sam fox is amazing type line thrown around for example , do people really believe that or is it just an anti popular view type line.

The real problem I feel is that forum audience feel the programme should be made for those who have been around since the beginning so the 18-30s that were at the beginning are now over 30s pushing 50.

It just isn't going to happen sure support the old timers but I think people should, accept the show as it is and may enjoy aspects of it.

Who wins the show is completely and utterly irrelevant. As Charlotte Crosby herself said, "it's a bit like winning a certificate on Sports Day at school. It's exciting on the day then you don't care."

The funny one is when people say I don't watch any of those reality shows

I agree.

It doesn't matter. People are over dramatic. 'My faith in humanity is broken' 'stupid people voting' etc... my faith is humanity is broken because of the evil in the world not because a housemate has survived an eviction.

There was a forum celebration when Jason won and people were praising the voting public. Fast forward 2 weeks and people have said the opposite.

Fickle bunch. It's only a TV series. It's not making any real impact on our life.

People need to get over the fact that BB is reality so obviously another reality person entering a reality will give them an advantage.

There was a time when BB didn't seem like a trash reality show. So many people I know who used to watch it just don't bother now.

Too much manipulation and too much favouring of showmancers and aggressors.

Yes Jason winning was a result for fans of old school Bb housemates which was fine but he had a massive helping hand with lateysha, but that was okay but it was an approved twist

Thing is...way back in the day, BB wasn't a trash reality show. .... that's the difference. I realise it has evolved somewhat....but that's because of bad production more than anything else.

Why is it such a big issue with the forum if reality people win

The problem is not that they are reality TV people.
The problem is there are annoying, disrespectful, and deluded people in there and yet again the ones most guilty of these traits happen to be the ones from shows like GS, TOWIE etc

And each year it is the annoying RTV show people who are hogging the limelight with their showmances and tantrums.

We've had the Charlotte show, the Gemma show and now we have the Bear show,

All in my opinions irritating nobodies who do whatever it takes to get themselves as much airtime as possible, while others are hardly seen. Partly their fault, but more so the production teams fault as all they want to show is confrontation and showmances.

It is just all so predictable and some of us would like to see something of all the housemates not just the handful RTV ones doing the same crap night in and night out.

I think it's because the PREMISE of BB and CBB was to see how people react under pressure as THEMSELVES.

The problem with 'reality' stars is that the lines are totally blurred in the genre - they ACT themselves. They are also trained to 'make drama', rather than the drama occurring in a natural way between housemates.

It doesn't help that the 'reality' bunch are generally young, appear very ignorant and focus on fauxmances, shock, and antagonism, in a very basic and childish way.

It is how the show is no, there seems to be no escaping it, but it IS dull, and in both CBB and BB there are a few 'normals' who have to deal with the 'reality' stars and this can be unpleasant to watch.

It's lost its heart and its veracity - I'm not sure it has had any integrity for a long time, but losing any proper sense of it being 'reality' has made it into a different and LESSER beast than it was.

Never mind - there are a lot of people that seem to enjoy the pretend reality and lowest common denominator stuff. That's who it's directed it now.

Speaking for myself, I am sick to death of immature idiots who feel they need to be the centre of attention 24/7 and play up to the cameras the whole time.

I used to like it when we felt we could actually get to know some of the celebrities but most of the time now, we hardly see anything of them because we have to put up with the constant attention seeking and fake showmances from the reality stars and it's all got a bit boring now as its the same thing over and over again in each series.

Things change after 17 years. They have gone through scandals and had a channel change. Course it wouldn't stay the same.

But come on, C4 was even more trashy at times. BB5 and BB6 with the nudity and sexual antics anyone? People assume that C4 BB was upper class.

Give me a break

For me it's that "reality tv" people tend to be of a certain kind...Loud, brash, trashy and overbearing...all the things I find obnoxious.

I don't mind if a reality person wins, but they didn't have any more than one of them in there in the first place.

I don't watch these reality shows as I really don't understand them. What is the point of them? Please can someone explain? If it's scripted , it's not reality, it's a performance and if it's a performance i want to see professional talented Actors who can act.

My problem with the majority of Reality TV stars is that they have the same old predictable routine to entertain; drunken behaviour, loud gobs, having sex, talking sex/masturbation, faux showmances, low morals/high regard for themselves, always narrating the bloody storylines along for the viewers who may be to dim to connect the threads, etc. The reality TV stable is the Hollywood version of 'all actresses/actors out there who are so pumped full of plastic they start to resemble each other? They lose their originality. Uniqueness is lost and once you've seen one particular actor/actress, they ALL start to look alike' argument.

Once you've seen Towie, you've seen Geordie Shore, Made in Chelsea, Ex on the beach, etc. It's the same old tired format, the same old tired actors, the same old tired storylines, and the predictability of it all is a total piss take.

I wish these reality TV stars would enter something like CBB and change my mind of the very low expectations that they have chosen to create in our culture. I would fully root for a zeleb to turn peoples expectations around, be a bloody good brilliant housemate, be the ultimate paradox, and really turn their careers around once they left the house that it goes onwards and upwards. A phoenix from the ashes, so to speak.

9 times out of 10, they NEVER do change such expectations - we can see from a mile off which way the storylines are pretty much going to go. That's the tragedy. And that is why it is all so very tedious.

Yes, I actually tried watching TOWIE but it was painful.

The only conclusion I can draw is that it's "reality" for those viewers who are really gullible and not good at spotting scripted TV.

then why do you still watch it? like i said before everything you have stated is exactly what big brother has always been like, all those things you stated are exactly the type of people that have been on big brother since it started, lets face it you have to be desperate for some kind of fame to go on big brother in the first place.

Not really.

I don't watch any of these shows but TOWIE opens each episode with a 'some of what you see will be scripted for your entertainment' so people know it's scripted.
